Excellent product. Exactly as designed. 1st Class product.1st Class Customer service
Rails look very good. Exactly as described, and seen in photos. Everything looks, and feels "first class", rail, brackets, and even the screws were of excellent length to ensure a sturdy installation. Installation was a breeze, and the rails feels, and looks excellent. In terms of quality very happy with purchase. After the great experience installing 2 x 3ft rails, I went ahead and ordered a 12 ft rail for a basement stairs in my house. As before, I was extremely satisfied with the shipping speed (much earlier than anticipated), and with the quality of the product. The aluminum is clean, polished and sturdy. Installation is a breeze (the main step is identifying the studs locations). While many vendor send only exactly the number of screws, this seller send a few extras which is always good to have. The installation of the brackets is well designed, and relatively easy .Once studs are located, it is all a question of inserting the brackets, sliding them into position along each stud, and twisting them to lock into place. When twisting the bracket into a lock position its important to ensure that the bracket is perpendicular to rail so that it is aligned with rail's inner slots. If properly aligned the bracket will rotate into a locked position without having to exert too much force. If you find you are needing to apply too much force, stop, and check the alignment of the bracket with respect to rail. I ended up breaking one bracket, out of 6 received (likely I did not have it properly aligned), contacted the vendor, and got an immediate response (no questions asked) with the replacement being shipped out at no cost to me, a gesture that was greatly appreciated. Extremely satisfied with the whole experience with this seller, and with the product itself. Very highly recommended in my opinion. Noticed they have an online store with many other similar products, which likely will be worth visiting ( i will definitely be checking it out) !.

Quality all the way.
Wow, these are really quality. Make sure to measure twice before ordering. Really impressed with the rails, brackets, design, materials, closure strips, everything about this handrail system. No issues installing these, they have complete flexibility with the brackets being able to slide wherever you need to get a solid connection to your posts. Brackets twist to lock in place or untwist to pick up your exact center. Once you have everything connected, snap in the tough plastic, flexible closure strips on the bottom and you are done. All weather anodized look is sleek and contemporary, smooth on the hands with no sharp edges anywhere. Very nice system. Thank you!

Strong, Functional and Beautiful
We wanted a steel handrail to replace on old wood one during the remodel of my daughter's house. I was a little worried that this would be skinny and cheap feeling, but it fits perfectly in your hand and is very sturdy. The swivel installation system makes it a breeze to install, and the thick rubber strip to fill in the bottom channel between the support braces makes for a comfortable, professional finish. I would recommend this handrail system in a heartbeat.

Perfect, quick, cost effective alternative, and looks great!
This was far cheaper than trying to build one from scratch. Installation was straight forward and accomplished in less than an hour. (Spent most of my time ensuring my measurements and alignment for angle and height were right.) Looks very nice and fits into any design motive, and it is solidly mounted if you follow direction... I think the studs would give way before this does. I can put my full weight on it and even tried to jerk it from the wall... didn't budge. Wow, I put this in for my father while he was visiting, and what a difference it made for him, and for use on the lower level of a split foyer. Installed solid and it's not moving, it looks really nice too. One thing I love about this is the rubber strip which feeds in under the tubing to fill the trough where the wall mounts attach, it functions as a gripper for your hands. When you grab the railing, your fingers lay perfectly upon that rubber, giving you a non-slip grip on the railing... this is a nice safety feature for the elderly. It is machined aluminum, lightweight, but very solid. The wall mounts which attach to the rail can slide up or down the length of the railing, so even if you have oddly placed studs you can easily adjust. I installed the 1st and the last bracket first to set up the alignment and angle. Then found the center of the remaining studs and slide the mounts into place to mark the drilling holes. You put the mounts into the rail channel then twist them in to lock them in position... like a cam lock. Excellent value for the cost, much better than buying the wooden ones at your local chain store. I think it is much more sturdy and substantial than the typical installations in most homes, and it will last longer than the house itself.

Looks nice, solid install....but minor QC issues.
The handrail sections are beautiful and fit together well. The system as a whole is great and well thought out. However, the support brackets have somewhat of a sharp edge when supporting a rail at an angle (such as on stairs)...I recommend taking a file and cleaning them up. For this price, one should *not* have to do that...they could easily be machined at the factory to soften the edge. The second issue I had was with the wall adapters (these bring the brackets out 1/2"). In 2 out of 3 bracket installs, I had to take a rubber mallet and persuade the bracket to seat into the adapter. I don't know if metal flashing or excess paint was causing the problem....but again, for the price you expect things to work well. Get with the program, Promenaid.

Elegant and Durable
I didn’t originally set out to buy a handrail like this, but during my deck build I learned that code requires one if a post interrupts the stair stringer—so I needed something that met safety standards and looked good. I’m really glad I ended up with this Promenaid kit. The rail has a sleek, rounded design that looks far better than the standard square or rectangular styles. It was easy to cut and assemble, and the mounting brackets are well-designed—snapping cleanly into the underside of the rail and staying removable if needed. The finish is smooth, durable, and has held up impressively through harsh weather—hot summers and near-zero winter nights. One clever feature is the silicone insert on the underside, which creates a grippy, ridged feel for your fingers while also covering the channel used for the mounting clips. It’s a thoughtful design element. Installing that insert took some force—probably the trickiest part of the job—but overall, everything fit together well. This handrail not only met the code requirement but actually added a touch of elegance to the deck. It’s a great product—solid, stylish, and functional.

Nice-Looking Rail That Holds Its Weight
One of the odd things about the staircase in my home was that there was a long stretch where only one side had any railing. This was a bit troublesome since the wooden base of the stairs could get a bit slippery, and the experience of falling on the stairs is far from desirable. So I set out on my quest to find additional railing for my stairs. I had two main factors that I was looking for in my railing considerations: 1. I wanted railing that came in the specific length I needed to cover the area in question (11 ft), and 2. I wanted a product that specifically stated where the mounting brackets were so I could ensure they lined up with my wall studs. I began my search with looking at the cheaper options; most of which being some form of PVC or thin metal railing. The reviews were a bit concerning, however, so I eventually decided that spending a bit more would be the safer option; especially since the railing would be meant to ensure physical safety. I decided upon this Promenaid handrail due to its nice appearance, clear product description, and good reviews. Like many rail options on Amazon, I was able to select a custom length to fit my needs. This also was one of the few railing products that specified not only where the mounting brackets were, but that they can be positioned wherever you want them so that stud positions would not be a problem. The product shipped from Canada (to US) and arrived a whole week earlier than Amazon anticipated. The packaging secured the product well and each section of the railing was packed in its own box, each of which was taped together for a single shipment. The rail segments even had protective tape on the edges with my name on it, so I could tell the railing was prepared specifically for my order. The installation process was fairly simple; most of which I did by myself on the floor. I had my wife help hold the rail briefly as I installed the first and last brackets per the instructions. I installed the rest of the brackets by myself with the rail suspended by the first two. Once installation was complete, I tested the rail by hoisting myself up a few stairs using just my arms to ensure that everything was nice and sturdy. Nothing moved, and there were no creaking noises. The only downsides I came across with the product were the rail joining area and the mounting screws. The area where the rails join don't completely match up unless the rail is installed absolutely perfectly. I even tried to change which ends meet, but I'd have to make a tiny adjustment in the bracket placement to potentially fix the gap, which isn't really worth losing structural integrity. The screws for the brackets seem to strip way too easily considering that they need to be screwed in all the way for maximum integrity. They can survive an initial installation and possibly and adjustment or two, but they would need to be replaced if any more work needs to be done. Overall, this is a great product, and you will see the money you put into once the railing is up.
