Great laptop for gaming and video editing (whilst plugged in.) Screen quality is good and colours and contrast seem excellent for a non-oled and not 4k display. The keyboard on my model doesn't match the photos as it doesn't have any different coloured lighting, which is disappointing but not a deal breaker. It simply has 3 options of no light, dim blue backlit, and bright blue backlit. Easy to switch modes with the press of 2 keys. Runs games at 1080p HD and all that I've played so far run flawlessly regardless of whether they're new releases or older classics. Have seen frame rates stay consistently over 100 FPS in many of the new games. Davinci Resolve runs good for video editing in either HD or 4K ( even though you'll not see 4k on the device), but for some reason which I'm not sure whether it's hardware or software related it pretty much stops anything from downloading or uploading while that's running (so if you need to back up any edits to the cloud or download additional images or footage then you need to close Davinci Resolve to do that). It may be different with other editing software but I can't comment on what I've not used. Has 3 power modes available while plugged in, including a quiet mode, performance mode, and an auto mode which will decide how much the fans will ruin depending on what you're doing. The fans in this make a lot of noise when it's not on the quiet mode to obviously keep the insides cool and running optimally. Battery life is not good when it's not plugged in (maybe a couple hours max) and only really suitable for web browsing and basic tasks, but that's mostly irrelevant to me. £600 the most I've ever payed for a laptop (I did buy it during a sale reduced from £800) but it's also the best performing one I've had. Overall very pleased despite the disappointment the pictures of the keyboard were false and misleading.

Excellent performance for the price, incredibly surprised. I got the i5-12450hx, 24gb ram, 1tb ssd, rtx 3050 version. My main desktop PC is where I do my gaming, this was primarily for travel, web browsing, maybe older games, low spec games like Football Manager, Dota 2, all the benchmarks I've seen of this GPU didn't leave me hopeful for any meaningful gaming, but I did some benchmarking myself and am incredibly happy, I've tested all games in 1080p, CS2 150+fps dips to 120, Dota 2 100+ all on lowest settings, Cyberpunk 70 fps can drop to 50ish all low DLSS balanced, Red dead redemption 2, lowest preset 70-85 fps, dips to 50, Clair Obscur 60-70+, Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered 120+ indoors, GTA V 120-150FPS. Things people must be doing wrong based on reviews and benchmarks I've seen, 1, update everything in Windows, manually install drivers from Lenovo page, clean uninstall GPU drivers then manually install latest, turn off hybrid graphics/optimus, run dedicated gpu, use the Lenovo vantage software and put power on performance mode for gaming. Impressed with the colouurs and 144hz screen, impressed with the speakers and Nahimic software great for Youtube, solo gaming, all in all a bargain for £600, seriously considering a desktop replacement gaming laptop when I next need to upgrade, an issue I've noticed though is that the SSD seems to be slower than benchmarks indicate, but that could be cpu related, I have a similar speed ssd in my main PC that opens games and apps in 1-3 seconds, on this opening even vantage, installing/uninstalling software or loading games can take 20-30 seconds, uninstalling office 365 took 5+ mins. I'm a fan of Lenovo now, would recommend, just set it up correctly and keep in mind price to performance ratio.

Not a bad computer. Advertising from Lenovo is excessive, had to uninstall Vantage to stop them. Bloatware had to be removed.

Absolutely terrible. Received the laptop excited to finally have a good quality and affordable laptop, however my joy was quickly spoiled. Out of the box I noticed under some of the protective plastic there were minor scratches, even though it appeared new. I brushed it off, trying to stay positive, but then after powering it on and using it for around 10-15 minutes the battery had already died. I was surprised, considering it should’ve been a new laptop.. then I noticed the volume buttons didn’t work.. yeah I knew I had to return it. Contacted Amazon for a return and arranged for UPS to collect it, they didn’t. This kept happening for almost a week, UPS say they’re coming, and then they don’t. I was so pissed off I contacted Amazon to demand another return option, ended up having to make a label and ship it myself. Currently awaiting my refund. DO NOT BUY!!!

I use my laptop for work and play, so I had to have a computer that has masses of memory capacity, good screen quality for graphic work and fast for my gaming. This product delivered. I have been very happy with it in all aspects, and I only gave it 4 stars because the battery life is short. I recommend this product if you're looking for a sturdy workhorse that works well on every level.
