The Absolute Best Breakfast Treat!
Growing up our family in Amsterdam would mail us packages of hagelslag. I am so happy that I have a way to purchase this in the US. It is great on toast and such a wonderful treat. It brings back memories of my Oma.

The best ever!
This was one of my favorite treats growing up. Mt grandmother was from the Netherlands and we’d get these all the time. Melts in your mouth, high quality chocolate. Taste and texture spot on. I give these away for gifts during the holidays.

These are NOT chocolate-flavored sprinkles
These are not chocolate-flavored sprinkles. They are real chocolate, shaped as sprinkles. There is no substitute for De Ruijter. Any Dutch person will tell you. Please do not put “regular” chocolate sprinkles on bread and butter and expect to get the same experience. I’m begging you.

Nasty! 🤢 Seller should be ashamed of themselves.
I should have looked at the reviews with pics before ordering from this seller but I didn’t. Big mistake. A friend of mine had a box of the De Ruijter’s Milk Chocolate sprinkles & the De Ruijter’s Dark Chocolate sprinkles & I fell in love with them when I tried them. So shiny, smooth & slight silky creaminess to them. I could eat them by the handfuls. I didn’t know where she purchased them but I thought I’d order them here off Amazon. Another big mistake. I ordered them for overnight delivery so they’d be here at my home in the morning before it got hot outside & I was thrilled to find them here early this morning sitting at my doorstep, in the shade, waiting for me. Now keep in mind the boxes of De Ruijter’s sprinkles my friend had were sitting on her shelf in 95+ degrees for a couple of days because her A/C went out at her house yet even today they still look shiny & luscious (top row in pic) The sprinkles in the boxes I received this morning (bottom row in pic) are ugly, dry, pale, crumbly pieces that remind me of dry mice 💩. So it’s not an overheating/melting & Re-cooling issue. According to the boxes I received they are good until 1/2024 so not yet expired, what happened? Too say I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement. Because of this I will not be buying these off Amazon again. Which is a shame because I can’t find these locally in any of our grocery stores.
