Verify your connectors, Great carb, fit my needs.
I purchased this carb for my old 1986 Toyota pickup which has been basically parked for the last ten years. Did not used it much because it needed work, at 340,000 miles it was past due for some TLC. When you buy a carb online there are always problems. I had both carbs on the bench side by side comparing and all I saw was the solenoid connector was square instead of round. I swapped connectors which was just hard wiring the old one over to the new carb. The carb looked good, everything bolted just the same. No problems with the install. It fired right up andworked just like a new carb. After warm up and some adjustments its running fine. I also replaced the fuel tank and the pickup tube because of rust. The old pickup is running very good. I should have done this a long time ago. I would recommend this carb. I didn't find any flaws with the carb in anyway. Well worth the money.

Fit Perfect !
I bought this for my 1988 Toyota pickup with the 22R engine. My original carburetor was dumping fuel like crazy and the truck was blowing black smoke , backfiring and stalling. I changed the choke pull off and no difference. Time for a new carburetor. I checked around locally and one place had it. NAPA . They wanted $400 for an oem rebuilt. I decided to look online and sites like Partsgeek were no better. They wanted over $500 !! I hesitantly looked at Amazon and found a bunch the ran from $78 to $300 and more. I went with this one for $100 based on the reviews and I am glad I did. The installation went smooth and the carb fit perfect. What I found amazing is that I had to make no adjustments at all . After I put it in , it started right up and is running beautifully ! My truck is running sweet once again. Just make sure you buy a gasket for it . It DOES NOT come with one . All you get is a carburetor period ! No instructions or anything. I will post another review after I have run it for a while . But right now I am very happy with it . If it lasts , it will be up there with the best $100 I ever spent. We will see.

Do not buy runs very poorly cheaply made and warranty?
Vacuum lines were routed slightly different than my factory carb after many diagrams found a switched ported and manifold Vacuum swapped. Electric choke was damaged causing it to not to open right away. Did finally get it to run but definitely not stock quality. It leaked fuel from a plug on floatbowl I never touched tightening it helped but it still leaks a bit. Over all it works for a budget but if you can rebuild the factory carburetor it would be better.Old review:Runs like garbage has a consistent vacuum leak with all connection tested. It hydraulic when you turn it off. The idle adjustment is touchy and forced me to idle the engine above 1800 rpm to stay running. Works great during warm up sequence and with the choke slightly engaging it will idle. Cuts out if you go around the corner to fast or every time you stop suddenly at a light. It doesn't like slow speeds likes to rabbit unless you shift quickly though the gear on a manual transmission 1990 truck. It leaks fuel from a plug I never had to touch for install. Linkage was slightly different from original carburetor car to swap throttle /return spring from old carburator. This carburetor has been a nightmare truck was working better with old leaking one will need to return for repair if possible contracted the company a few months outside return window no response you would think there's some kind of warranty but I see nothing listed I get tired of these fly by night Chinese repop companies that use key words to sell people the wrong or inferior products.

Defective Carburetor
Defect on carburetor resulted in air leak when engine idling. Had to be modified in order to get it to work somewhat correctly. Poor machine/materials used in construction.

Cheaper than a rebuild, works great!
Complete bolt on replacement. Require little adjustment to idle but other than that, works like a champ. Cost me less than a rebuild of my old carb.

Not completely compatible
1986 Toyota truck 22R engine. The 4-wire connector doesnt seem to be compatible with the original connector. I can not get it to stay engaged. I have not tried to over force it. I might have to cut and splice in the original connector or depin it. Not fun. Additionally, the throttle linkage was completely different so I had to tranfer the old likage to the new carburator.
