Effective speaker for teachers
I bought this to use with small groups, but when my colleague, a 5th grade teacher, lost her voice due to illness, I lent it to her. It allowed her to project her voice without too much strain, and the students listened more attentively because they could hear her clearly. The sound was fairly natural without too much distortion. Volume isn’t too intense, but effective for a class of 35. (This assumes it is the kind of class that will quiet down eventually after some correction). Students reported that they could hear the teacher well (and I could hear her fine also on either side of the class). For the teacher, the effect is subtle as the voice is projecting away from you, so it helped that she got feedback from the class that the volume was reaching everyone. For a very large and inattentive outdoor PE class I would not recommend it. But for small groups and manageable classes, it works well. I don’t have experience with the battery life yet, except that it did last her a day and a half of teaching without any report of issues. If you are a teacher who often has vocal strain, or has a quiet voice, this can be helpful. Just mind which way your mic is facing relative to the speaker. She almost quit using it after having feedback problems, as she wasn’t familiar with how sound systems work. Once she knew the speaker needed to be in front of the mic, she had no further problems. While working at her desk, she found it comfortable to rest the speaker on the desk, when seated. It also worked well for walking around the classroom clipped to her belt. For mic placement, I gave her the recommendation from another review here- wear the headband behind the neck and angle the mic up toward the mouth. This seemed a comfortable way to use it without head pressure. All in all, assuming this lasts at least one year, it would be well worth it for my purposes. P.S. I got the rose gold so that it would stand out from all the black technology at my school. As a roaming teacher, I need things to be easy to find when I inevitably misplace them when traveling from location to location.

Works great for a teacher or speaker on a budget.
I am a teacher and I don't have a strong voice that projects well, so this worked really well for me. This is not going to give you the volume or sound quality that a profession speaker in an auditorium would need. It suits my needs though. I teach approximately 32 students at a time and it's basically impossible to get them to all stop talking. When I try to raise my voice I just sound shrill and like I'm always yelling at them. So I tried this little voice amplifier and I've been very happy. I can speak in a calm voice and still be heard over the ambient noise. I generally leave the volume all the way up and vary how loud my voice is by how close I put my mouth to the microphone. If I need to be loud, I dip my chin to speak directly into the microphone. When I need to have a private whispered conversation with a student, I raise my chin and don't speak into the microphone. It's become second nature. I wear the headset around my neck and put the microphone in my pocket. I do have to wear pants with large pockets to make this work, so it has limited my wardrobe. The little belt loop clip on the speaker is pathetic and doesn't stay in place, so if you can't put it in your pocket I don't think you will be happy with this system. It's really my only complaint. As far as feedback, when I sit down with the volume turned all the way up, sometimes I'll get feedback. So I generally turn the volume down to halfway before I sit. Since I rarely sit down with kids in the classroom, it's not really a problem and I never get feedback any other time. Overall, I love this cheap little voice amplifier and I wonder how I ever taught without it in the past. Of course a wireless system with higher quality speakers would be better, but this was simple and affordable. You don't need to have any expertise with technology to make this work. Highly recommended!

Great amplifier
Have had laryngitis for 7 weeks and can only speak softly. This is voice amplifier works wonderfully! It allows me to use both have while I teach, you need to turn up the volume when you are only able to whisper but students and colleagues can hear me. The only downfall us you need to watch the feedback when the speaker gets too close to certain things.

Fellow educators- this mic might become your new best friend. Give it try!
Best bang for your buck if you’re an educator! I use it everyday when teaching. When I’m not speaking I move the mic arm away from my mouth and turn it off to extend battery life for that charge but leave it on my body for quick access to click on again. I wear mine like a belt and find the least amount of cord issues with it like this. I get headaches from tight headbands and headphones so I actually wear the headset around my neck and angle my mic accordingly and it still works like a charm (as seen in photos)! Sound quality and volume control has been excellent, even in a noisy or large room. I’ve thought about buying the wireless headset and plug from this ZOWEETEK brand to go with the speaker, but I’ve held off as it seems the witless headset battery is quite a bit smaller and wouldn’t fit my needs as well. I don’t mind being wired in though sometimes, due to being so short, I have to finesse the cord so feedback doesn’t occur. However it’s not too much of a hassle to worry about. The mic helps project my voice through my mask it without any issues. I keep my mic on the outside of my mask but it could certainly be tucked inside if that is comfortable for you. If you don’t wear one then your voice will sound even louder and crisper than it does with a mask on. I use this little mic and speaker combo pretty much all day every day in the classroom. I leave it in the room to charge overnight and it’s always ready to go the next the day for class. There have been only a handful of times it’s “died” during teaching (you can tell the battery is low by how the sound quality and overall power of the audio changes). I believe this was due to it getting bumped by custodial staff in the night and the charging cord loosening. When this has happened I just take it off, plug it in and leave it alone for 20-30 minutes. This usually charges it up enough for me to get through the remainder of the day or get me until plan time when I can charge it for longer but again this has rarely had to be done. Otherwise, I’ve never had any issues with it. It saves my voice on the regular. One week due to horrid allergies and multiple other speaking/singing/family gatherings on the weekend, I lost my voice almost completely. Thankfully I was still able to teach my Kinders thanks to this mic being powerful enough to pick up what little voice I still had left without straining it more. I use this mic for pretty much everything, even used it at field day, which was amazing (lots of compliments and admiration from parent volunteers who wished they had a mic that day)! I’m a substitute who specializes in longterm assignments. Last year I was with a group of Kinders for 7 1/2 months and I used this everyday. It allows me to avoid straining my voice and helps me not become a “yeller” teacher, which I can’t stand and don’t want to be! I do not feel that benefits anyones learning experiences and it can easily impact a room/environment negatively if one is not careful. To avoid that, I use my mic! Also, this setup is so much better than the old teardrop Bluetooth mics the district I work in has where the speakers are in the ceiling. I can even use this mic in the hallway, gym, outside, and any other number of locations it might come in handy (see photos). I will be bringing this with me in my teacher go bag for all my future day-to-day assignments until my next long-term comes up. I will continue to use it when I get my own classroom in the future, as well! If you’re an educator looking for a great quality mic, that lasts all day on a full charge with wise usage, saves your voice, is portable, and doesn’t cost a crazy amount then I would strongly encourage you to give this one a try! Happy leading, serving, teaching and growing. :) (purchased November 2021- reviewed July 2022)

Good product for Teachers!
I am a 6th grade math teacher and using this product everyday for past 2 years. I am not sure how long battery will last without charging, as I just plug in every night before I leave the school. I love this product. I am a soft spoken person and this product gives a nice boost to my voice without being too loud. I have people observed me teaching, and I asked them if they were able to hear me in the back, and everyone said this product was enhancing my voice nicely. During my first year teaching, I was loosing my voice by the end of the day, and can't even feel like talking when home. That's not the case after I started using this product. It's a great product for a space like classroom. I don't think it will be good enough for big conference room, or auditorium. Only concern I have with this product is you can't turn it on before putting it on (I leave it in my neck). If you turn the button on, without speaker being away from receiver, it makes such a loud screech sound. It's not a big of an issue for me. I have a habit now to not turn on without putting it in my neck. I would recommend, if you are looking for a quality product for medium space that will last you for years and is very reasonably priced.

It works for a budget item, but there's a lot of audio feedback
I got this product to give walking tours through Harrisburg. It works well for this purpose, but it's definitely a budget items. THE GOOD: -It is one of the cheapest voice amplifiers on Amazon. If you just need a solution, this has everything that you need (microphone, unit, and charging cables) -It's very easy to use. The volume wheel turns it on and increases the volume. Easy peasy The OKAY: -It isn't super loud. This is less loud than a yell, but would work great for small groups or a classroom -It's fairly small, but the clip works well to keep it attached to a belt. It also has a neck cord, but I think that looks pretty dorky. The BAD: -The amplification is pretty bad with the attached microphone. It gives a lot of static if you are moving around a lot. I think that a higher quality mic (which I have ordered but not yet used) would help a lot. One that is attached to your shirt should cut out a lot of the static -The highest volume is not very loud. It's probably the same "top volume" as an iPhone. -No indication of battery level, other than the "charging" light turns off when it is full All-in-all, it does its job very well for the price. 3 out of 5 is exactly what it feels like.

Very useful
I am a school speech pathologist with unilateral vocal cord paralysis . Until I had voice injections to help restore my voice, I basically had the inability to increase my speaking volume at all. This microphone was a life-saver!! It took the effort out of trying to talk, which made me very short of breath! I had to return the first one I ordered because it had static. I received a new one immediately! The replacement worked great! The amplifier is very lightweight, so it doesn't weigh me down! I am very sensitive to wearing any kind of headband- I get headaches easily. This headpiece was very comfortable. The sound quality is loud and clear. Now I keep the unit with me in case I need to speak in front of entire classrooms full of kids. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a boost with voice amplification!
