Bix > Platinum
I was running a Fishman Platinum before this and the Bix blows the platinum out of the water.

Best Acoustic Guitar Preamp!
I have played acoustic guitar for 40+ years and have run Sound at churches off and on for half that time. I have bought and sold many of the popular guitar preamps. I only learned if Grace Designs while doing slot of research in past 6 months for our worship band guitarist. Bix preamp is best $300 bucks I’ve ever spent on acoustic preamp. It really is a studio level preamp in a box. And creates ultra pure acoustic bliss! Rather than buy the $699 Alix model with lots of mid contour controls and convenient extras, I spent $300, then added a Source Audio EQ2 for both 10 band EQ and peq. I think that gives me ultimate tone control even more than Alix model. In a few words, BIX preamp is silent, ultra transparent, musical and brings out wood and air. I’ve never used the DI yet as we have the vaunted Neve RNDI that we plug this into and sound is awesome through QSC K8 monitors. Finally, I am adding several more of Bix model to church sound system. There’s nothing more pleasing to my ears than a rich, harmonic acoustic guitar with wood and air sound this way in the big system. Best $300 you will spend in your acoustic sound. Get a Source Audio EQ2 to go with it and your amplified guitar sound will never sound the same again.

Ampless Simplicity
It sounds great! Adds function beyond just a direct box or just a preamp. With the Bix on pedal board I no longer need my amplifier.
