I don’t want to leave less than 5 stars because the device, its concept, and the actual physical quality of the product was good. It definitely did not live up to its promises though so I sent it back. It was slow, unorganized, laggy, and very difficult to use in general. I give the company props for trying, but this item was not for me.

I wanted to love the Ottocast Play2Video Ultra, but after trying two separate units, I cannot recommend this product. It has been a complete waste of time and money. The Hardware Failures: I purchased two units to ensure I didn't just have a "lemon," but both were defective in different ways: Unit #1: Worked exactly one time. I attempted to update the software and download a streaming app, and the system completely locked up. It shut down and never turned back on again. Bricked immediately. Unit #2: I got a second device, and while it turns on, it is incredibly unreliable. It only successfully boots up and connects about 20% of the time. It is extremely frustrating sitting in the car hoping it will actually work. The Software/GPS Issue: Even on the rare occasion that the device actually boots up, the functionality is misleading. Although the system offers the option to download Hulu, it will not work. Hulu Live requires location verification to function. Since the Play2Video Ultra does not have internal GPS capabilities, Hulu blocks the stream. If your specific purpose is watching live TV via Hulu, this device is useless to you. Verdict: Between the hardware reliability issues and the lack of GPS for location-dependent apps, this product is not ready for prime time. Avoid.

Love it. It was a pain to connect but once I got it figured out, its been great. Still figuring out some things. I would buy again I have a 2025 kia sorento ex Grandbabies love to watch their movies

2023 Kia Sportage hybrid. Slow to boot up, you need mobile hotspot to run the apps. Apps seem to run slow as well.

Product did not work not user friendly will be returning does not work with Android phone

Works great on my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. Love this for trips!! Little bit of a learning curve, but it does work.

Doesn't pair on hybrids. Sucks too much energy out of hybrid battery even with the the usb/12V lighter dual cord. Probably is a cool product if it was compatible though.

I’m very disappointed it will not work with Carpodgo which has CarPlay built in. I have a 2018 Armada and CarPlay is not installed so that’s why I bought the car pod go to make it work and it’s fine but I bought your unit thePlay2Video Ultra hoping that it would interface with my carpodgo and apparently it will not. Any suggestions I would really like to make this work
