Our daughter was waking up with night tremors for weeks and once she was out of bed and awake she was very hard to settle as she was upset and scared. I got this this elephant on the off chance it would give her a positive experience before bed. Omg, it worked. Gave it straight to her when it arrived she played with it straight away. She took it up to bed with her that night and fell straight asleep listening to it. She did wake up in the night but got straight back into bed and put it on herself and went back to sleep. She is now back to sleeping right through. It's very simple to use and our 2 1/2 year old can easily use it. There are three different colour options or you can have it on a colouring changing settling which is lovely for them to watch at night. Lots of different songs and sound to choose from and had volume control. We got one for our 4 month old as well and shelves the heat beat setting. A hit all round with the baby and toddler so a very happy mummy. Money well spent.

A great product. Even though the top is made of plastic, the rest isn't, which makes it a lot cuddlier and smoother than other similar products. The stars are clearly visible on the ceiling (around 2,5m from where the frog is placed), the music is OK (I expected it to be annoying, as is the case with most plastic baby toys), but what has stolen my 3mo baby's heart is the heartbeat sound. The combination of the heart beat and the starry ceiling really helps him fall asleep. The batteries furnished with the toy only lasted for around 20 30min-spells, but I'm now using my own rechargeable batteries and they last a lot longer, so it was probably low-grade batteries and not low-grade toy as I initially feared.

LOVE this product. Ignore some reviews. Obviously some people don't look into instructions or set up... Inside there is a switch to set to 'try me mode' plays songs once and lights for a few seconds, 15mins, 30mins or 45mins. (Underneath elephant pull Velcro apart where batteries go you will see black switch under compartment) The lights are lovely in red, blue and green. U can set to one colour or changing colours. Would be fab if they moved as some people have complained about bt they are good just still. Baby gets to look at lots of stars, a planet shape and moon shape. The only draw back for me is that u can't set the music to one u want without going through others first (although I haven't read instructions fully - hypocritical of me! So I may've missed this) this is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars and also because the music is quite loud even on lowest setting. My 13 week old son loves this and so do I! Highly recommend xx

Edit: This takes AA batteries. Not AAA like it says in the description. Eddie is a bit of a hero in our house. My two year old was going through a sleep regression and decided he wanted mummy there all the time and would cry and cry unless I was with him. He wanted songs to be sung until he dropped off and wanted the light on. He woke up multiple times and stayed up for almost 2 hours then passed out from pure exhaustion. We were all running on empty. I figured let's give this a try. Anything is worth a try at that point. Our boy was thrilled with Eddie and now when we put it on it takes him just under 5 minutes to be asleep and if he wakes up during the night we switch Eddie on again and our son is out like a light. We could not be more grateful to Eddie and his creators. Eddie has three coloured lights and four light settings. Red, green, blue and light show (it runs through the cycle of red, green and blue on a loop, each colour getting about 10 seconds per colour before fading to the next). Red is the dimmest. It's quiet hard to see but if your little one only needs a bit of light then it's perfect. Green is the brightest. We use green at the start of the night and if he wakes during the night we use the blue light as it's a nice in between brightness. It lights up the room pretty well but it isn't enough to keep him awake. It's the perfect amount of light. The stars are clear on the ceiling too. Timer, the settings are on the battery pack in his tummy. He can be set for 45, 30 or 15 mins. Then there's the off and try me setting. It has maybe 3 or 4 volume options. We always use the quietest so he has to quiet down to hear it. Sounds, the first song is my son's favourite and the one he always listens to. I believe it's mocking bird? Not entirely sure. But the other lullaby is nice too. The water running sound is a bit tinny and makes me need a wee, I don't want to see if it makes him need a wee too. The heart beat is nice. It's just my little one thinks it's ghosts. So we don't use that one. I'm thinking when I get paid we will have to get another Eddie incase this one dies on us. It came with batteries and it was on the try me setting. It takes AA batteries. I bought a 40 pack of them just so I'm prepared for a lot of use. He doesn't actually use it lots though so the batteries that came with Eddie are lasting well so far.

This Hippo star projector with sounds is a fantastic item in the baby/child room. My little boy is 1.5 years old and he absolutely loves it. at bed time when we have a cuddle we use a the 3 colour changing mode, but when he goes to lay down in his bed he likes to watch it in red colour. It works fantastic as a night light and helps him to fall asleep easier. Lights are in different brightness starting from RED ( little bit darker light), Blue ( medium brightness) and Green (bright light). The sounds are nice too. There are 3 songs and 2 sound effects and heart beat with pulsing light. volume has three control settings and the lowest one is just right for bed time. i like the idea of timer setting that you can chose after so many minutes you want music/sound or both to turn off. You can play music on its own or with lights and vice versa. Hippo is a nice soft cuddly toy which can be easily put in little ones bed, so when they a bit older they can turn it on if they wake at night to help them drift back to sleep. I will definitely buy one for my friend.

Dies ist mittlerweile schon das zweite Tierchen,was ein uns einziehen durfte. Unsere große Tochter hat den Elefanten. Und jeden Abend müssen die Sterne angemacht werden. Die Große hört mittlerweile Hörspiele zum einschlafen, aber beim Kleinen darf die Melodie nicht fehlen. Die Auswahl der Melodien finde ich super und auch die 3 verschiedenen Lautstärken sind sehr praktisch. Die Lichter lassen sich einzeln oder im Farbwechsel einstellen.

Acheté pour ma fille de 3 ans qui m'en réclamer une :) bah je ne suis vraiment pas déçue de mon achat , ça fait vraiment de belles étoiles sur les murs , juste la musique qui est un peut forte mais ce n'est qu'un détails , vue que ça sera utiliser que pour la lumière . je recommande

Habe den Elefanten bestellt.für unseren kleine jungen. Habe vorher bei Babys oft die blaue Schildkröte gesehen von namenhaften Hersteller wo der Preis doppelt so hoch ist wie bei diesen süssen Tierchen. Muss allerdings sagen dass ich froh bin mich hierfür entschieden zu haben. Der Elefant ist schön leicht vom Gewicht her und einfach in der Bedienung. Man kann Lichtfarbe aussuchen rot,grün,blau oder von allein wechselnd. Musik kann dazu eingeschaltet werden 3 bekannte Kinder schlaflieder wasserplätschern oder Herzklopfen. Mir gefallen die Lieder am besten der Klang ist schön klar und ist dazu in drei lautstärken einstellbar. Alles seperat an und ausschaltbar. Projeziert helle Sterne an die Decke. Preis Leistung unschlagbar. Ps schön weich und gut verarbeitet auch der plastikpanzer ist schön glatt
