Don't Let Bad Reviews Steer You Away! Amazing Product!!!!
I have wanted these rollers for a year or two, but I allowed negative reviews steer me away; roller clips don't hold hair (which that alone is no big deal), but what really got me was issued of melting! Although the directions imply that you can leave the clips on, I took them all off before using the rollers. I also kept a close eye on them. They were plugged in for maybe 10 minutes. In issues of burning, who knows how long those rollers in the negative review were on for, and the clips were probably on the rollers when it happened. If you have something on the stove, it will burn if you neglect it. Granted this is my very first use, but I am completely happy. Even if they crap out after a year, they would have still paid themselves off, so to speak. I will certainly edit my review if I find the same issues as others. But so far this is an awesome product!

Love these. Bought them a while back and I'm still using them a couple times a week. They work really well and heat up fast. Some of the clips do fall off when I'm wearing them and moving around a lot, but I just put them back on. For spots like the top of my head, I pin them down with a bobby pin instead, so I don't get a dent in the hair.

I have an older set that was great but I accidentally did not line them back up after traveling before plugging them in so they melted a bit. I bought this set to replace them. The pink clips are a little bit smaller than my original set so they don't stay clipped in very well when my hair is rolled into them. If you can get them to stay in, your hair curls very nicely. It just leads to some frustrating mornings.

Stick straight hair finally held a curl.
I have tried every possible combination of product and tool to try to get my stick straight hair to hold a curl for more than 10 minutes. I have tried curling irons, curling wands, overnight rollers, rag rollers, foam rollers, curling iron to rollers to cool, sock buns, braids, and (counterintuitive) straightening irons. I've tried using hair sprays, mousse, volumizers, texturizers, and even dry shampoo. I've practiced on clean hair and dirty hair, tried when my hair was to my bum at it's longest and my shoulders at it's shortest, and ALL — ALL — to no avail. That is, until I tried these Remington hot rollers. The first time I used them, I did the standard hot roller configuration, with a mohawk of rollers running from forehead to nape, planking the sides of my head with rollers rolled away from my face. This did come out lovely, but I also looked a bit like a beauty queen and less like Kim K. Subsequently, I've styled my hair by parting as usual and wrapping small section away from my face while holding each roller vertically (like this: | not this: — ). I use the smaller rollers closer to my face and the larger curlers in the back. If I am having trouble getting the rollers to stay put, I do pin my hair to the roller with a bobby pin, flat side to the roller, before applying the supplied clips and that seems to do the trick. I'll also toss a headscarf on while they cool to keep them in place. The result looks just like the current celebrity trend and stays in for a few hours!!

Great rollers, but clips don't work!
Love these hot rollers, but..... I have a set that I've been using for a couple of years and they are amazing. I have thick, below my shoulders, coarse, frizzy, curly hair with lots of gray. These hot rollers give me a beautiful, shiny curl that lasts all day, eliminating the frizz. The problem is that I needed more of the larger rollers and none of the small ones so I ordered a new set so I could swap out the small for the large. When I tried them for the first time the clips kept coming off and the rollers fell out of my hair. The clips are integral because they get hot and provide heat to the hair also. I examined and compared to the old clip and the new ones are weaker and have a larger gap between the edges so they don't clamp on tightly enough to hold my hair. I emailed Remington and they responded in hours and are shipping me new clips! That's customer service! I only gave 4 stars because of the clip problem. My original clips are burgundy and the new ones are dark pink. You can see the difference between them in the picture.

Worst, cheapest roller set ever, waste of money!!!!
This is a horrible, cheaply made product. I am so disappointed. I have had Remington’s hot rollers for about ten years. The unit had heated clips that had a metal sheet inside each clip that gently kept the hair on the hot roller warm. It was sturdy and the clips completely covered the hair and fit snuggly on the curler. I only needed to set my hair for about ten minutes for a tighter curl or five for a loose curl. It was awesome. After ten years my lovely roller set died. I saw on amazon this product by the exact same company so i thought it would be a sure thing. I ordered it and threw away my old unit including the curlers with heated clips. This one came and i stupidly threw away the packaging, because it was a brand I trusted and had such success with past product. The base is cheaper and doesn’t have an on/off switch. This isn’t a deal breaker. The clips are only plastic so not sure how they would conduct heat, but I wasn’t able to find out. The plastic is cheap and not at all sturdy. The curlers kept popping off my head, so i instead was putting less and less hair in them. After five curlers popped off at once after, I had already replaced a dozen curlers, I finally lost patience and quit. I am so disappointed. I am pretty easy going. I never complain and never write bad reviews, but I am so annoyed at this product and my own foolish optimism expecting that a product is going to be the same quality of the product I had years ago. I wish i kept my old curlers and clips because they would have worked but i didn’t. I wish I would have kept the box to send the product back, but I didn’t. So dumb! I am so disappointed that a company went through such lengths to save money that they ruined a good product they had. I would have willingly paid five more dollars for a better product, made in the US.

Great product for the price. I have long hair and there were enough rollers. They maintained their heat and created the look I wanted

Not a novice, have used hot rollers for decades. These heat quickly, but don't try to move your head in any way shape or form as the clips are USELESS and pop flying off my head. Ridiculous.

I have a lot of hair but just a bit longer than shoulder length. There were definitely not enough rollers. Could barely do half a head at a time. I also found the clips would not stay well. You can buy replacements but really only through Remington in the US. As well the curl was mediocre and tended to fall. Good for volume, but if youre looking for curl go for an iron or rod.

Like the curlers ,they do a good job. My only complaint is the clips do not always hold and they do break.
