K2 Skate Radical 100 Racing Inline Skates

This is my first step into big wheel inlines and I couldn't be happier with the Radical 100s. These skates can fly compared to my previous 80mm recreational inlines. Given the price, I did a lot of research before buying and haven't had any of the blistering or comfort issues that a few folks experienced. I did end up getting a half size below my standard shoe size based on reviews/forums I read. Glad I did because I can see now why you need these things tight to maintain control, especially at higher speeds and during hard take-offs. It took a few trips out and some sore muscles to build the ankle strength necessary to handle the lower cuffed boot, but that's just part of the transition. Great product and would recommend to any experienced inline skater.

I've been skating for years, but these are a different level of equipment. On the one hand, they are fast, maneuverable and stable on questionable trails. On the other hand, they require a level of strength in the ankles and feet far greater than fitness skates. It took me a couple of months to develop that strength so that I could use them well. Now, I would never go back!

Without question, this is the WORST inline skate I have ever purchased. I used to purchase K2 skates (last one was Radical 90), and they were very comfortable. However, this model and size (10.5) has a horrible boot that has ripped a blister into my heel that I simply can't wear them anymore. I wore them four times, but was only able to wear them once a week due to the blisters. I figured I would 'callus up' and then it would be fine. Well, now the return policy has expired since I am past for four weeks, and I'm stuck with a $350 waste that I likely won't even be able to sell on Craigslist. On top of that, they shipped it with 85a durometer wheels, which at 100mm diameter (and a 200lb skater) meant I was constantly struggling with sluggish response and over-gripping that would frequently cause me to stumble on smooth, paved trails. There is clearly a design flaw with this boot/wheel combination, and you never discover it unless you take it out and skate. Which means you can't return it. Thanks K2 for ruining my love of Inline skating!

Nice skates to transition into race skates. These skates come with decent bearings. The wheels are good for first time 100mm.

Boot is comfortable for the most part EXCEPT that your heel is not locked in the heel pocket allowing heels to moves up and down with each stroke and the skin on the back of your heels is stripped off after few miles.Nice frame, ok wheels, nice lower cut boots allow freer ankle movement. But the loose heel pocket is a deal breaker for me.Also, boots are very mushy, so forget about doing anything that requires firm control, like going up/down a grassy hill.

Awesome boot and skate and everything!! Hoping to do Athens to Atlanta on these in 2016, love them!!

Fantastic speed, performance, stability, weight... These are the most wonderful skates I've ever used.
