This heat gun heats up quickly and has been incredibly useful on our boat. We use it for defrosting the fridge and freezer as well as melting heat shrink connectors for wiring. The weight feels solid and well-balanced, not too light and not too heavy, which gives it a real sense of quality. The product was on time. It works like it should and the only thing that I had a problem with was one of the attachments that I put on to try and make sure they fit right got stuck on the gun and I bent it a little trying to get it off. I started a return on this product and at the last minute changed my mind because I put some oil on the attachment that was stuck on it and after waiting 24 hours it came off easy just using an old rag to pull it off. It’s a good gun and gets hot fast so I do recommend it. What happened with the attachment can happen with any brand I believe.

Has been working great. I dont know if it helps, but I kind of did a heat cycle, turning this on and off on the low setting...letting it rest...repeat...to get things burned in, and it seems to work perfect, with no real smell. There was a little bit of smell at first, but that expected, its a induction coil basically, and will burn off all kinds of stuff. Thats why I cycled it.
