This book is really good. My baby enjoyed the touch and feel aspect of the book.

The quality is excellent — the pages are sturdy, safe for little hands, and the textures are so engaging. Each page has a new surprise to touch and explore, which keeps children curious and excited.

Bought this and little red riding hood, ...hardbound, sturdy, colourful, good for showing images to toddlers.. simple story line is a plus.. not much of a touch & feel book though, only a small portion of the entire 2 page has its texture changed.

A truly delightful read, my one yr old toddler loves the touch and feel textures and is thrilled every time he is able to feel the porridge and the bed!! He is able to associate basic emotions such as feeling hungry and sleepy thanks to this book! I've loved this fairy tale as a kid myself, but I must say the author has done a great job modifying itnto suit the reading levels and interest of someone as young as twelve months old!

I just wish it was longer. Its a wonderful book otherwise, with fun touch and feel elements for a baby to explore. My 9 month old loves it even though the recommended age is 1 year + and touches every page. It is the classic tale of goldilocks but compressed into a short and to the point format. If you're looking for a quick read with your little one, this is great- but if you enjoy story time and would like it to last just a little longer- you'd be better off getting the classic story book instead.

I bought this board book for my 9 month old baby as she enjoys being read to and likes texture books. It was nice to find a series of books which have both textures and a proper story line. There is a good selection of textures in this book; cotton curtains, furry porridge, ribbed chair seat, lacy bedspread and squashy shiny door. The amount of text on each page gives enough time to read this before my child becomes bored of feeling the texture and seems good for the short attention spans of beginner story listeners. When she is older I will likely elaborate the story and verbally add in the three repeated phrases on each page while reading. This book isn't the most detailed version of the classic story but it is an ideal introduction for small children which is exactly what it claims to be.
