Tulsi tea is an invigorating way to start your day or as an afternoon pick me up.
I love this Tea! When I went to my meditation center in Oakland California, they had the India brand tea which I drank with my breakfast or brunch in the cafeteria after morning programs . Allegro has the same taste yet more affordable than the Indian brand, I like to make it as an iced tea with Stevia, a tsp. Vanilla extract, a bit of Honey and a tsp. of Rosewater. It's good as Hot Tea also.

not as sweet & rosey as Organic India but you can steep quite a few times
First off, I don't mind lighter tea. So it doesn't bother me to steep a tea bag more than once so I can just pick a different tea the next day & not feel like I went through an entire box in one day. Now don't get me wrong, I do love that first steep. Organic India absolutely is sweeter & stronger on the rose front but the catch is its the only tea in my collection I can only steep once (unless you like the taste of cardboard!) So Allegro's version surprised me. It's not as rosey as the competition but it steeps more than once (3 or 4x no problem (for me)) So I'd say if you are a fan of Tulsi & don't mind less rose in exchange for being able to steep one tea bag more than once throughout the day, this tea is fine & good value. You're just losing a bit of "uniqueness"

Rosey
I admit to being put off by the tulsi basil and licorice root in the ingredients list, but it tasted nothing like licorice nor food seasoning. It has a very rosey flavor that lingers in your mouth, slightly sweet, floral, and a bit earthy. I also had to have a couple cups before I got used to the flavor enough to appreciate it, but yeah, it's good tea. Neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive tea, but definitely the most rose-flavored (at least of the teas I've tried). **EDIT** It looks like they changed the formulation of the tea, or perhaps the quantity per tea bag... Whatever the case, it hardly has any flavor now, and I can no longer recommend it.

Priced Great. Smells absolutely amazing. Can be hot or cold tea. Actually taste like rose!! Can also be made strong or weak, depending on preference. Have certainly purchased over and over again!!

A new favorite
Now one of my go to daily teas. Tulsi for it's antihistamine and antiinflammatory properties combined with chamomile to calm the body and mind. I was worried the rose would be overwhelming (not a big fan of floral flavors), but it's very light. Great price too.
