Very good Image Quality, a bit reflective, and speaker is a no go. But a very good monitor.
I have had a slightly smaller (21 inch) very expensive apple cinema display for years. But my eye sight is not so great and I could never run in in full 1080p with the tiny text. So, this seemed like the time to upgrade to a 1080p larger screen (27) that would be easier on my eyes. Sure, I could have spent a bit more and got a higher res screen but I no longer play games on my pc (other than old ones) so I don't need a 4k monitor. It seems now is the time to get a reasonable priced 1080p display because everyone is going 2k or 4k. As a comparison, the old 21 inch apple dipslay was > $600 but the image quality of this monitor is better IMO. The color accuracy may not be as good but they do give you a costume color mode (RGB) if you want to get it dialed in. The brightness is super, I only drive it at 20-30% in a low light room but it can be driven to very bright in a well light room (but it is reflective). As far as image quality, sharpness, brightness, and uniform back-light, I find this monitor very good. It has a bit of glare so its not the best choice for a room where you have lots of windows and sunlight but for a room where you don't have a lot of light from behind, its ok. This monitor only has one HD connection "HDMI" so make sure your vid-card supports that. It would have been nice to have display port but HDMI works great and the cables can be acquired on the cheap. SPECIAL NOTE: Built in Speaker is crap! Seriously crap. My review is based on image quality. I don't use the speakers and I would not use them unless you want to use tin-can quality speakers. They could be useful for a portable Xbox display but don't expect much from the speakers. I was hoping they would be acceptable for multi-media but they sound like you are in a cave. So, if you want decent multi-media all in one monitor, the speakers are not good enough. + Image Quality + The controls menu, etc are very good. Changing the brightness/contrast is just a few clicks away. + Brightness + Tilts up/down (- no left/right rotation but its light enough where you can just shift it) + Black level and back light uniformity - Speakers (crap but could be nice as portable HDMI display in a pinch) - Reflective screen (but fine unless you have a bright window behind you) * Not height adjustable (but the height was just right for me so not a negative) Overall, for the price, you get a very good image display. Don't count on the speaker and you have a very good 1080p display.

Extreme satisfaction, after some issues- Listen up.
I got this monitor to replace my 5 year old 22 inch monitor, and I can say the difference is night and day. This screen is extraordinarily bright, almost too bright. I love the glossy reflective display, and the thin bezels! I'm going to bring up the bezels again because it's worth mentioning twice. Comes with a ton of accessories in box, USB, HDMI, Power, and has a USB pass through for your USB needs! Cable management isn't particularly important to me, however I do appreciate the attention to detail of the cable management on the panel. First of all the cables connect up, meaning facing the ceiling, and this also allows the use of a back plate to hide some of the cables, which is also included. There is a large hole in the stand that allows the cables to be routed through it, and then hidden with the cover. The metal stand has some weight and bulk to it, and the stand is surprisingly sturdy. Pretty darn thin considering what it is, but I've seen much thinner. Now the panel. It's IPS, and I love that feature combined with the glossy finish. Glossy monitors aren't for everyone, however I love them. The colors on this monitor are sharp, saturated, and bright, and the blacks are OK, but great for high brightness. The panel colors are a little warm for my liking, however this is easily solved with Windows. Viewing angles are great, as with most IPS displays, and the colors are good. The problem I had with this monitor is the difference in color compared to my old monitor. It was some HP TN 11 series, but it had cool color and wanted to make the picture darker, which I quite liked. The problem is that this monitor seems to do the opposite, at least compared to my old one. Greys which were darker on my old monitor were lighter, and full brightness/contrast, which I had been using on my old one hurt my eyes. I solved all of my problems by changing into game mode, which allows saturation to be adjusted, which I like high, and sharpness medium. I turned the brightness all the way up, and the contrast to 76, and went into the Windows color RGB and turned town the red notch by one, and that fixed the warm colors I previously complained about. Keep in mind every adjustment I made was by using Windows (I was using 10), and the monitor itself. Quite easy to do once I figured our some basic monitor terms and functions. If your a casual user of monitors and don't care as much about preference, than this monitor is great out of the box. Again, I recommend full brightness, and 76 contrast on gaming with increased saturation. The lack of resolution on this monolithic panel takes it's toll on small round shapes, and some details if you sit close, which I don't. Playing games, and watching videos, it's practically unnoticeable. If your looking for luxury, which I do consider 1440p, and something a little more future proof, than I encourage you not to look in the direction of the S2715H, as 1080p, these days, and on a big display is sort of sketchy, even though I think this monitor delivers and hits home with me.

Dell got this right!
This is an amazing monitor. First things first, assembly took 2 minutes. Anyone familiar with putting a Samsung monitor together knows the pains of trying to fit the screen into the stand, Dell made this process a breeze. The bottom connects to the middle part very easily, turn a quick under screw and its on. The monitor attaches to the stand very quickly and snaps in, this was great engineering. NO TOOLS needed! and very solid! Now, onto the monitor itself, it is super clear and crisp, the outside bevel is TINY! This means you pretty much have all the screen real estate and the monitor flat out looks awesome. I've owned many computer monitors and this is by far the best looking both screen wise and physically. This thing is pure sex. At $199 it was a great buy, I'm strongly considering buying another so I can have a sweet dual monitor set up. Usually with monitors I only buy Samsung or LG, but this Dell is legit. Worth a buy. Cons, no DVI port I have to use DVI to HDMI cable

Sleek Bezels, Beautiful Color Quality
For the record, this review was written long after actually purchasing the monitor. For the time that I had it, I really enjoyed it for its color vividness and its nice thin bezels (the top and side borders of the monitor). The other big plus is having integrated speakers which produce nice sound quality. The only real thing that prevents me from a perfect 5 star rating is that at the time, I somewhat overpaid. Prices are likely different now than when I made this purchase, but regardless, it was still worth it. One other thing is that a plus is that assembly is very straightforward. For the time that I used it, it was definitely a high quality product and is worth buying.

I'm a Dell reseller (I DON'T WORK for Dell). This monitor and the matching S2415H monitor were Dell's BEST that I've seen in 18 years - Clear screen, thin bezel, wall mountable, BUILT IN speakers, HDMI AND VGA input - these ARE the total package. And then, as they always do, Dell did a stupid - they replaced it with a crappier monitor - one that doesn't wallmount, and has 2 HDMI in's.... I opted to source these from Amazon because clients (AND ME) love them.... BRING THEM BACK I SAY!!!

I am quite happy with them purchase. Monitor is great form video consumption both in size and screen quality. Speakers are mediocre, but that's why you buy external speakers.
