Good quality and performance as usual
As with other Mishimoto radiators I've ordered I was very pleased with the finish and quality if the radiator. The fit was ok, a little tight, but went in pretty easy. The only thing I would change is the proprietary radiator cap size, as in some cases the extra holding psi may not be a good option (def replace any hard to get to hoses when installing these). The performance is definitely better than oem. There wasn't anything wrong with my old radiator and no overheating, but it was time to do a water pump and a second flush, so a good time to put on a new radiator. I can turn the AC off after a run down the road and watch the temp gauge go down from the center mark (which is cooler than most XJs run to start with: using oem fans: one mech one elect). Do be gentle when installing the aluminum nipple for the overflow hose...if you break it off you'll be sad

Leaking after 4 years.
Install went smooth, didn’t have any issues with the hood latch like someone else stated. Radiator looks well made, nice welds and comes well packaged. UPDATE: So after four years of use my radiator is leaking all over the place. The radiator never provided me with any extra cooling, if I dared to use a/c in the summer traffic coolant temps would creep over 220°. This was installed on a brand new crate stroker which was broken in on an engine dyno so it’s not like the coolant system was gunked up. I had to pay $100 to ship the replacement under warranty and my plan is to sell it. I bought a Cold Case radiator so I’m going to see how that one does this tile around. Also my neighbor has a Subaru Wrx which is a garage queen, went out to start the car up and found his Mishimoto radiator is leaking, less than a year old.

Amazing product, good fit, nice finish
Outstanding product, I didnt have any of the issues with the hood latch hitting it like some of the others, or the larger ZJ style clutch fan not having enough room. Keeps my 93 at a cool 190, sitting in the florida heat with max ac on. She will get to 210 after a bit, which is still within the happy zone of the 4.0, but immediately drops back down as soon as she gets some RPMs. When the AC is off, the engine hasn't gotten hot enough to turn the electric fan on once yet. 500% improvement over the factory 1 row radiator that seems to like to crack at the side tanks. But seriously, without including a sticker, I feel like I got robbed of 25 extra horsepower hahaha. 1 tidbit of helpful info- when installing the vent tube to the overflow container, use a little teflon tape. Makes it easier to thread in and seals nicely.

Nice unit and well designed, but some QC improvements need to be made to be 100%.
Mine is in and working well. The radiator seems well made and has nice welds. I had my installation planned for a Saturday morning so I had gathered all my parts, but got stopped short when I discovered the overflow tube was missing from the box. Their support got me one the following week, but it put me way behind in my project. The overflow tube didn't appear to have good threads and knowing it's aluminum I was extra careful to thread it in. But it still stripped so I'd say QC on this part is poor.. I brazed the overflow tube on the neck and it's good to go but a bit of a disappointment in both regards. Other items- mine is fine with the center latch. My upper radiator hose steamed over like old faithfull on a test drive as I couldn't get the stock clamp closer to the radiator. So I used my cutting wheel on the the radiator support to give me more room to move the clamp right against the radiator tank. I do not notice a temperature reduction so I'm still at 210, but this radiator is much nicer and had more coolant capacity than the stock type with the plastic tanks. Hopefully it holds up but being aluminum I'll be able to repair myself if it has issues. I'd still buy it again at this point given the state of the current market.

Bigger side tanks only, Custom rad cap!
For the price of this radiator vs other ones, I would say this is not what I expected. I have 2 Xj's one for crawling and one for daily and my crawler has cheapo alum and has for years been working fine. I am having a bit of trouble cooling my daily with Ac here in Az with avrg summer temp being over 110 right now, i tried the cheapo and still got hot, tried OEM and still got hot but not as hot as the cheapo and now i have tried this one. Did as well as the OEM one. I did not notice and temp change and it still runs hot. Thermostat has also been changed and in fact everything is new as i was trying anything to stay under 215-220. this Rad did not perform any better and for what the price is why.......just not worth it.

Excellent Product. Near 30-degreee difference in engine temperature.
Let me preface this by saying that i live in Phoenix, Arizona where the summer temps are regularly around 110-F. This, paired with the notorious problems XJs already experience in the cooling department, was taking a toll. The engine, without the AC on, would regularly run around 230-235-F when the ambient temperature was any higher than 80-F. If the AC was on, it would reach near overheating temperatures. I would often have to turn the AC off, turn the heater on, and let the Jeep cool down. This wasn't working for me as I daily drive the Jeep. I installed the Mishimoto radiator in the Jeep and it has made a massive difference. It is worth every bit of the price tag. My Jeep with the AC on driving 70 mph on the interstate runs right at the operating temperature (210-F) or just below it now. Driving around town the motor is at about 203-F. In the cooler months, I expect to see some excellent results as well.

Great cooling and easy install. Worth the price!
Purchased this for a 97’ Cherokee and I can tell a big difference. I use my Jeep for Sunday cruising and off road trails/parks. When the radiator showed up, I was impressed with how it was packaged. You don’t have to worry about it getting shipping damage and it had that high quality detail to it. Installing the radiator was breeze and only took about an hour to complete the swap. The ONLY downside in my eyes was the bottom transmission hook up. On my Jeep I had the factory snap connect on my trans line that goes to the nipple on the radiator. The nipple that comes on this radiator is a touch too big to slide the snap connection to so I had to snip off the snap connect on my factory trans cooler line and use a small hose clamp. No big deal and I don’t believe all Cherokee years are setup like mine. Most videos online show a hose clamp like this radiator is designed for. PERFORMANCE- before I would get to 220 degrees easily on the tight trails and about 200-205 on the road. Now, I run 180-190 on the road with the air turned off and about 200-205 on the trails. The big kicker is if I run the air conditioning (that forces the electric fan to run) I never get hotter than 190.....ever! Huge improvement and great fitment on my XJ.

Leaks galore!
Major issues with this thing. First off, the transmission cooler line is not in the same spot as the stock one and the OEM fitting is virtually impossible to fit without modifying the OEM line. The inlet barely fits as it comes into contact with the frame. Secondly, this thing leaks like a sieve. Within about 6 months it began leaking at the welds at the bottom of the end tank on the driver side. Now several years later it is leaking on the passenger side end tank as well. If I could go back in time I would just go with a traditional unit, this thing is junk.
