Product was better then expected and I was purchasing for a gastby galaxy and needed that 1920's style and it works and looked great.

Great for a steampunk costume
Loved the watch. Not sure though how to use the “hook” on the end.

A very fine transaction!
Very attractive wrist watch and it seems to be running very well. Good packaging and prompt shipping. An all around first class transaction.

cool but a bit tacky.
This is a cool pocket watch. However, it's not a sophisticated looking watch or anything. It's very simple and straightforward. The chain is a gold chain that's attached to the base of the pocket watch. There's a cover in front of the pocket watch, and the numbers are big and fairly easy to read. The quartz dial makes it accurate and it's generally the most commonly used to keep track of time. This pocket watch does give you a classy look, but tbh with how bright the gold looks, it does look a bit tacky.

This pocket watch has some nice touches right out of the box. It comes in a dark brown cross-hatched vintage-looking box that perfectly suits the old-fashioned theme. The chain length is good, the belt/pocket clip feels solid, and the carved detailing on the watch itself is intricate and well done. I also appreciated the small things, like the satisfying tic sound you can hear if you're in a quiet place and the removable plastic film protecting the inner watch face. It even pops open smoothly with a press of the top button. That said, the gold finish really lets it down—it looks very “costume” and too much like fake gold, which makes it feel more like an accessory for a period outfit than a proper pocket watch. Also, the opening feature feels a bit pointless: you can already read the time with the lid closed since the Roman numerals are printed on the cover. It looks cool, but there’s no functional reason to flip it open. My biggest gripe is the button mechanism—it’s quite flimsy. I kept accidentally moving the hands or stopping the watch just by opening it. A simple guide explaining the mechanism would really help. Overall, I’m giving it 3 stars. It’s a beautiful display or costume piece, but I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear.

A beautiful piece. Classic designs integrated with a modern style. The wood grain is a nice touch that keeps the watch from being washed out with gold. The back of the watch is embossed with a wreath of flowers and various flourishes, very much in keeping with a traditional aesthetic. The clock face is simple, using Roman numerals to denote the twelve hours. But it also includes military time's twenty-four-hour cycle below the numerals for anyone who keeps time using a twenty-four-hour clock. Little pips marking the seconds run along the outer edge of the clock face. The middle of the watch face is an image of various clock guts in a pile—it's a good-quality illustration that doesn't cheapen the watch's appearance, though I can understand how some people might be upset that it's not real. I particularly like the window that allows you to see the time without needing to open the piece. My first pocket watch I bought decades ago from an antique shop, and I always found it annoying popping it open just for a quick look at the time. The fact that the glass is scratch proof and smudge proof is also great. The watch is a good size. It's light, which gives it a bit of a cheap feel. My first watch was weighty, which helped anchor it in my pocket—this one could do with a bit more heft. It was very easy to set the time, and it's easy to open by depressing a button in the stem. The chain is a good length, though it could be a few links longer for safety's sake, and has the usual pocket clasp. It's a really nice piece. Simple and reliable. Feels a tiny bit cheap due to its lightness, but it's well made.

I chose this for review because I am a bit of a horologist, with a small collection of unique clocks and watches. One of those is a Birks gold phantom watch, which the MJSCPHBJK Wood Grain Hollow Design Vintage Pocket Watch quite resembles - though the watch under review is slightly larger. The purpose of the windowed cover over the clock face is to protect the crystal and limit the possibility of damage to the watch, while allowing one to see the time at a quick glance. This is a design used by pocket compasses, with a windowed slit over just the pointer, but I've not personally seen it applied to a watch. It is a fun bit of styling however! The watch uses a 377A battery, a spare battery was provided in the package. The timekeeping is quite accurate, though this is no chronograph; It lost a minute and a half over three months. The construction is quite durable; I don't know from what material the case is made, but it feels like steel. I call this "steampunk" because the styling is a mixture of new and old. The picture of watch parts on the clock face is an unusual choice, but it adds to the design mystique. if you want to do something different in the way of keeping track of time (other than using a cellphone,) this retro-styled quartz pocket watch is an interesting and possibly attention-grabbing way to do so.

This isn't a pocket watch you'll want to look at if you're into haute horologie, but as a simple accessory which is functional for telling the time, it will do the trick. Be aware that the appearance of open-works gearing is a sticker, and not necessarily a convincing one. Despite these unfortunate details, the unit on whole is sturdy and reasonably well-built. Can't complain.

It looks really nice and it works. It was a little fiddly trying to understand how to get it started and how to set it up without instructions, but it's up and working now.
