Mild and natural, good save for poor diets
I don't use protein powder or have any kind of special diet. My reasons for taking this was to replenish some nutrients after ceasing to take a medication (bupropion) that may deplete glutathione and nutrients. My laypersons research told me that pill-form glutathione and amino acids aren't useful, and whey is the best option for getting certain amino acids. I've only taken this a handful of times. So far I can tell that at least it's not offensive (not yummy either)-- it has a powdered-milk taste and smell but more mild. I mix it with water, it's also not harsh on my stomach and oddly seems to satiate my appetite. If I were supplementing for athletic reasons, or trying to diet, or living in a place with poor food options, this is the powder I'd use. It clearly has a high nutritional value. The ingredients are processed with integrity so that the beneficial amino acids and protein will reach the body. There have already been a number of reviews on exercise and fitness use of this, but I have one other use to add. I have been in a travel situation in the past where the food options were very poor. I tend to be on the skinny side, even more so then as I was young. I remember some similar, natural whey powder that my sister sent me with. I started using it after a month in the poor-food situation, and my entire body felt much better almost instantly. I can't remember what brand that powder was, but I use the anecdote just to point out that a high-quality whey powder like this one is a great option for people who don't otherwise have great nutrition options. I haven't put this specific powder to that specific test, though. But it seems like a very high-quality whey powder from the ingredients and process method and how easily it seems to be on the stomach. So far so good. It's probably too early for me to notice any health effects.

Trusted Product
I have been using this product for several years. It dissolves easily in my smoothies and does not affect the flavors. I love the consistent quality and will continue to order regularly.

Great, clean, low sugar product
Love this protein powder! Almost no sugar and the taste is very neutral, so it will taste like whatever you mix it with. I add two servings of the protein powder to 12 oz of unsweetened Califa Farms almond milk and then add a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of vanilla powder to create my own mild sweetness. I have a ton of energy after drinking this, and since I've started drinking immediately after a workout, I have been able to increase the intensity of my workouts and the amount of weights I'm able to use. I look forward to my protein shakes every day. I just shake in a blender bottle. The one time I put it in the blender too long, the fruit smoothie I was making turned to the consistently of marshmallow cream.

product dissatisfaction
I love Vital Whey Natural flavor. I have been using this product for many years. This is an excellent immune booster. I can easily digest the proteins. However, I received a bad batch. After mixing the powder in water (x 1 serving size, x 1 scoop) the entire product clumped together in one big glob. It did not mix well with the water. This has never happened. In addition, the product had a bad taste. I am dissatisfied and would like a refund. I am reporting this to Well Wisdom, California

Hands down the best protein powder I've ever tasted.
For years, I drank whey protein powder every day. I would mix it with fruit and it often tasted anywhere from delicious to...well, stomachable. I would mask the flavor, but most protein powders by themselves taste cakey, heavy, and nasty. Plus most traditional protein powders literally make me a bit nauseas. This is by far the BEST protein powder I have ever tasted! With nothing added to it but almond milk, it tastes like whipped 2% milk...and the best part is... It's actually *whey* better quality and *whey* better for you. (*Ha, I'm so punny*) So far, so good. I am not nauseas at all AND, I've lost 3 lbs over the past few days. I no longer has INSANE cravings to snack incessantly, and last but not least, I actually look forward to drinking it. It's that good. Amazing stuff. Period. Couldn't be happier. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

9.5/10. Good tatse. Great appetite suppression. Cuases bloating just like every other whey powder.
Vital Whey Natural protein powder tastes good but this is the unsweetened variety so don't expect it to taste like dessert, and it mixes well in a blender and a hand shaker style mixing cup. I make my morning shakes with one cup of either milk or almond milk, two scoops of Vital Whey protein, a tablespoon of Omega Nutrition's High Lignan Nutri-Flax, and a tablespoon of Wederspoon's KFactor Manuka 16 honey, and it does a fantastic job at supressing my appetite for between four to six hours, knocking out all the snacking in between my morning shake and lunch. The fact that this whey is minimally processed and that the milk that the whey comes from is from cows that roam free on pastureland and are 100% grass fed were both big selling points for me. I have dangerously high iron levels in my blood, so the fact that Vital Whey protein is high in lactoferrin is another selling point for me, but lactoferrin helps people with low iron levels as well. I was hoping that this would be the one whey powder that doesn't cause gas and bloating, but unfortunately it's the same as every other whey protein in that regard. That's the only reason I knocked off a star. It is a very high quality whey protein made with Proserum, and for the price is definitely the best value. Overall, I'm glad I bought it and I will buy it again.

Best protein powder on the market.
This is BY FAR THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER I've ever had. It is like drinking freshly whipped cream. The sweetness isn't strong so I added some more stevia but the texture is BEAUTIFUL. I seriously cannot believe the smoothness. It blended perfectly with some yogurt, water, and ice and fluffs up a lot. It doubled in volume for a very nice and filling smoothie. I wish I would've bought the 2.5 lb bag because I use 2 scoops of this so it won't last long. It is very expensive but I am going to keep on ordering it because it is just THAT GOOD.

Great quality, okay taste
I was really happy to find a high-quality whey protein concentrate (not isolates). I do like the way the product blends well in smoothies; however, I am not crazy about the pungent taste of the stevia used as a sweetener in this particular brand. The stevia just seemed to dominate whatever I mixed the protein with. I am really happy I found this brand, but next time I purchase it, I will likely order the natural flavor and add my own vanilla and preferred sweetener (or none at all). But, if you are already have an acquired taste for stevia, this may be the right flavor for you.
