I’ve tried a handful of primers over the years, but this Maybelline primer really surprised me in the best way! It goes on silky smooth, blurs my pores instantly, and gives my skin that soft-focus look before I even put on foundation. My makeup applies so much more evenly and actually lasts all day—no sliding off by lunchtime, even in the summer heat. It’s lightweight, doesn’t feel greasy, and works beautifully whether I wear it under a full face of makeup or just alone for a fresh, no-makeup-makeup look. Plus, it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts (huge win for my sensitive skin). If you’re on the fence—just get it. Affordable, effective, and honestly feels like a high-end product without the high-end price tag. Maybelline nailed it with this one!

Ok let's start off with the fact that I'm almost 40, and have what is considered "mature skin". I've tried countless "high-end" primers, and I like this the best. It doesn't leave my skin feeling oily, like a lot of primers do, and my makeup stays in place from 7am until at least midnight, without moving at all. I'm almost convinced that I could sleep in this and wake up looking exactly the same. The makeup I use on top of it doesn't cake or crease, and my skin looks beautiful. I'm pretty pale (almost Casper-like), so any texture on my skin shows up like crazy, and now I dont have to worry about that with this primer under my makeup. My teenage daughter keeps trying to steal it from my vanity, so I guess I'd better get her one, too. Anyway, I love this primer and highly recommend it!

Great choice for under makeup primer. Note: Used & loved as an under makeup primer. Sticking with smashbox for when I want to wear primer without makeup. After applying the serum, I gave it a couple of minutes to set. I then use liquid foundation mixed with a tad bit of moisturizer, applied with my fingers & then finished with a foundation brush. Added in powder contour & stick blush. It gave my entire makeup routine 100% better staying power! 8 hours after applying, I sprayed my face with a hydrating primer water and kept on going. Everything was still fresh looking by the end of the evening! I have slight creases and this serum kept my makeup in place & from sliding into crease lines. It's really easy to apply using the dropper & then just rubbing it in. You don't need alot, 1/2 of a dropper did it for me. I definitely think that it's worth a try if you are looking for something affordable that will help your makeup last for extended lengths of time.

This is a great primer. Always debated with this and elf and this was a great choice. Great amount on the bottle and you don’t use that much at once. Feels hydrating and it doesn’t feel overly sticky. Helps makeup last all day.

I've used Milk and Elf's primer and this ranks up there with them. I love a grippy primer that helps my makeup last all day long and this does everything I need it to at a great price and I love that it is a serum. I just bought Milk hydrogrip, but still use this daily since it's just a great value and will reserve my Milk for special occasions.
