This is an excellent product for sunburn and helped took the redness out and the discomfort of a sunburn.

I accidentally got the sunburn from hell and nothing was giving relief. Both products we’ll exceptionally well. Was pain free in about 3 days.

The pump on this doesn't work. We had to smack it out of the tube. It's only 1.5 Oz and it seems like there was less in there. I was able to cover my back and there's now only a little left. Product itself is good.

This After Sun Face Relief Cooling & Moisturizing Gel by Solarcaine was purchased for an upcoming vacation. It will be good to use for my chest and back, but I doubt I will use it on my face. I won't use this product on my face because it contains dimethicone, which is a silicone based ingredient. Dimethicone forms a film on the skin to help keep moisture in, but it also does not seem to allow for bacteria and other icky things like excess sebum to escape, which causes my face to break out. In addition to that it also contains phenoxyethanol, which is a ethoxylated preservative. To make this chemical they use ethylene oxide, a known carcinogen, which can then contaminate the final product. In addition to that, the manufacturing of phenoxyethanol creates a toxic by-product called 1,4-dioxane, another carcinogenic ingredient that can potentially contaminate the final product. On the plus side, this formulation does include centella asiatica, ecotoin, and bisabol, all great ingredients for soothing, moisturizing and helping the moisture barrier to protect the skin. Since it is winter time now I have not been able to test this product in the sun, however I did use it for my rosacea flare up and it worked really well for that. When I get a flare up my face turns beet red in spots, and using this gel calmed my skin right down. All in all I think this is a decent sun relief gel, and will be happy to use it on areas other than my face. It is currently selling for $9.99, and I think that is a fair price for a 1.5 Oz tube by a well-known brand name.
