Lightweight, very yellow, with IYV's consistent quality fit and finish, the ILJR-200 delivers the look, feel and sound of a great DC Junior at an entry level price. The single P90 sounds bright and punchy, distorts great, and cleans up nicely with volume and tone dialed down. Neck feels like a slightly wide C profile. Side dots, but no fret markers as shown in the listing, fretwork is very good, crowned and polished with no sprout or sharp ends. Guitar is very light, under 6 lbs, Plays and sounds great after tuning right out of the box, it looks like they use quality strings and get the action right before leaving the factory. IYV builds for Harley Benton and takes pride in their product, if you've wanted to try a good P90 guitar, you won't find a better one near this price with Amazon's return policy.

Let's be realistic. For what these costs, I expected it to be a trainwreck. But instead, what I received is a very nice guitar that was playable out of the box, looks great, and sounds way better than I expected. Sure, the tuners arrived with a bit of slop in most of them (tightening the screws in the buttons helped a lot) and two of them don't turn that smoothly. And the nut is cut a bit tight (the strings ping during tuning). But those are both easy to deal with and pretty inexpensive. I took 1 star away for them. But overall: - It has good bones. The neck is straight, the frets needed no work to be playable, the neck feels pretty good. - the P90 sounds a lot warmer than I expected, given it's proximity to the bridge. I really like that. - It looks great - It will make a good platform to upgrade, if I choose.

These are really great guitars BUT you may have to invest some time and resources to make it perfect. Because the guitar is made from very light weight wood , the initial bridge post began to lean and be pulled forward. I tried a bigsby style Tremelo to change the string stress angle but it wouldn’t stay in tune ( Tremelos fault) so I installed a stop tailpiece with some washer to absorb stress and after making some careful measurements…. Problem solved!

This is a nice, inexpensive way to get a double cut Les Paul Jr with a p90 pickup. The price is low enough that it's a good starter for a project or to switch out the pickup, which needs to happen because it's one of the noisiest p90s I've ever heard with any kind of distortion. It's pretty noisy on lower volume clean which shouldn't happen. If you're a beginning guitar player who wants this type of guitar, I would look elsewhere and pay a little bit more because it'll need a setup and I'm not normally somebody who replaces pickups automatically but in this case I would recommend it, so that puts a beyond the reach of a beginner. Tuners are adequate, fit and finish good for this price range. The sound is pretty close to an Epiphone/Gibson guitar of this type, and it's a nice size for beginners. If someone wants to go to the trouble of having it set up and getting a noise gate/improving insulation ground/etc then it's cheap enough to do that. This company puts outs nicer guitars at the higher price ranges.
