This is not a true milling vise but works fine on a drill press or workbench. For the money, it is a decent vise and is suitable for most jobs around the shop If you are getting into machining and looking for an actual milling vise, this is not what you need. I have no problem with the quality of the vise, just the description as a milling vise. All in all, it is a pretty decent vise and worth the money unless you are looking for the precision of an actual milling vise. I am happy with my purchase.

I ordered this vice(5") thinking it would be good enough for my needs . but I'm quite impressed with it really I've taken some measurements of it on the mill and its nice and square . the only reason i'm not giving it 5 stars is because like other have reported ,it does have a lot of sharp edges.. I spent maybe an hour on it taking the edges off so as not to cut my hands while handling the vice . but it does close nice and the sliding end of the vice is nice and tight and clamps up square ..the graduations on the swivel base are accurate and well embossed .. I would buy again ..

To get the negatives out, the only ones are that on of the washers needed for it was missing (1 of 4) and some of the corners are quite sharpThat being said this is a solid purchase. There’s no slop in the jaw, solid cast iron handle for it and on contrary to what some reviews said, the T bolts that came with it fit perfectly for my mill based on what I needed for it. 10/10. The pricing is great too considering something similar from SHARS is 600 bucks or more.

Very nice moves freely and locks down great. Has oil locations and is well finished. Comes with "T" nuts and bolts.You can remove the vise from the turret as well.

My vice arrived and I mounted to my Clausing 8520 and it fits the size of the mill perfectly.The vice did arrive with less than ideal packing from the manufacturer, I hope that gets addressed, I needed to take a sharpening stone to the bottom to clean up the surface but it cleaned up nicely and no issues as a result.Overall I’m pretty pleased and for the price it seems like a decent hobby vice. I’ll update this review as I use it more.

great price, super heavy duty

Well made and beefy. There is no marking to zero your protractor. There are no slots cut in the bottom of the protractor, for the locator keys. Bottom line, it is a decent vise for a bargain shopping home machinist. It's no where near KURT quality, but neither is the price.

This is a lovely vice; be prepared that it is massive in size.

This vice is well made, I was surprised at the quality you get for an economical price. I did remove the swivel base so I have more Z axis room on my small milling machine.

Quality seems good. Machining is excellent. I really like that the vice can be used separate from the swivel base. It may not compare with a Kurt but for the average hobbyist it's great! Recommended!
