I tried the shiny alloy version and they worked for a little while but all of them eventually the came apart at the seams, these are not for high pressure ( I was using about 100 PSI). Then I tried the solid stainless steel version, much better!! So far no problems at all and I can't see how they could fail. Using these as a blow off / separation function for an automatic machine.

As an automotive painter these are very nice. They don't break the thread apart off like the plastic ones when you drop them.

Only giving two stars because they do work, at first. They will snap apart, it's just a matter of time. I'm using them for air in a setting that they are threaded into a hard line. Never moved, never touched. They last maybe a month max and that with intermittent use that averages out to less than 10 minutes a day.

I’m an automotive painter, spraying PPG envirobase. We had blue air combs, which were great, but fragile…and expensive to replace. I ordered these, and they’re great. Haven’t broke one yet. Same thread as the air combs we had, so once blue one broke, I just put the gate valve on the aluminum one, and we’re back in business.
