I recently started cutting my own hair and wanted a nice way to trim my hairother than threading my fingers through my hair and pulling up or out for my head. This invention is very cool and lets you sinch your hair and with either hand, and hold it vertically or to the side of your head so that you can cut with scissors or some clippers. I can imagine this is meant for men or women with short hair as the longer it gets the harder it is to keep your hair a consistent length as you go. It definitely takes guts to use but knowing that you were going to save a butt load of money helps you finally take the plunge to cut your own hair. I couldn’t be happier using this along with my clippers with multiple guards that vary from an eighth of an inch to 5/8 of an inch.

Does not work. It bunches up your hair wrong. It would pull my hair out when I would try and release and remove it. Waste of money.

Good quality but I found it hard to use on short hair.

Scissor effect would appear to work but it grips the hair unevenly. One would say it’s inexpensive, what do you expect? I expected it to work. The price has nothing to do with it. A product should work at its retail price; otherwise don’t produce it.

Keeps hair in place pretty good. Hard to really cut hair like that though but it works for what they market it as.

Grip & Trim is an excellent tool for cutting your own hair on the top. Where it really shines though is blending in: For the first time I found a tool that actually allowed me to blend in my hair on the top with the sides. (It does help to have a human helper to hold the hand-held mirror though ...)
