I purchased this to control the low voltage lighting illuminating my garden path, and it performs admirably. It operates from a standard 12 volt LED driver and is currently controlling a number of led lights.The item arrived exactly as shown in the picture, with both a sealing washer and a metal nut, however both were loose in the bag so I almost missed them.There are three controls:* Background light level adjustment, to prevent it turning on in the daytime. It can trigger under full sun as well as total darkness* Timer: how long the lights remain on after triggering* Sensitivity: how much motion is required to trigger the switchThere was no wiring diagram or any other documentation but these are fairly standard on these devices:Brown wire: +12vBlue wire: 0vRed wire: Switched liveBy a happy coincidence, the mounting protrusion on this exactly fits the cut-outs in these boxes Idealeben 2Pcs Waterproof IP66 Outdoor/External Junction Box 3-cable Connector Can Underground Cable Sleeve for 4-8 mm Cable Diameter PG9.Installation was very simple:1. Remove cable gland from weather proof junction box2. Insert PIR sensors screw thread into hole3. Slip nut over wires and tighten4. Attach wires to terminal block in junction boxIt has now been in operation for a few days, one of which had heavy rain, and the device works exactly as hoped. There is no evidence of water penetration.At maximum sensitivity, the triggering range is about 12 metres. I have the timer very low and the lights stay on for about 2-3 minutes. At first I thought the unit was faulty because it wouldn't turn off, then I realised that the light-level adjustment will operate in normal daylight at the half-way position. For "dusk" triggering I found about 20% from full darkness worked the best.Overall I am very impressed with this item considering how much it cost and will be purchasing more as the need arises.
