Purchased the Hornady Rotary Case Tumbler a few year back after using a vertical vibration cleaner for year . There is no comparisons between a dry media tumbler and the hornady wet rotary tumbler . The included steel media cleans and polishes the Brass cartridges quickly and efficiently. I just fill it with the steel media brass then about 3/4 full of water and a few drops of dish soup and it works amazing . I will not be switching back to dry media ever . This is basically a one step process and the brass come out mirror quality . The drum lid seals good and you will have no problems with leaks . The machine has lots of different setting for automatic off , I normally run it for about 4 hours and the brass is good . Holds a ton of brass and makes cleaning effortless . A must for anyone who reloads and wants clean brass.

This unit plus lemishine makes your brass come out looking brand new. Even with tarnished brass that sat in the field for months. There is a spray that removes oxide then toss in the tumbler with lemishine, bam perfect brass. It gets kinda warm but no problems with it.

Although this device is a bit larger than i envisioned, it works quite well and i am happy with the results. The enclosed motor does throw off quite a bit of heat, so operate it on a smooth surface with plenty of clearance.

I use to dry tumble all my empty cases and was okay with the results but it took longer than I cared for. After years of this I finally pulled the trigger and bought one of these and wow what a difference. What took 4 hours before only takes an hour now. If you buy one of these I would recommend buying the sorting trays to separate the media from the cases as it can be frustrating without trays to do the sorting and speeds up the process! I would also recommend a dehydrator for drying the cases. At first I just tossed the cases in the oven to dry but then invested in dehydrator which now preparing for reloading has become very easy! IMPORTANT!!! Hornady the manufacturer in the directions states not to load more than 17 pounds into tumbler (S.S. pins are supplied with tumbler) . Tumbler motor will shut off automatically if motor gets to hot for any reason but main reason this will happen is because of over-loading unit! I have found that by loading pins, cases , and Dawn/Water (DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CASE CLEANER) into tumbler and making sure it not more than 15 pounds, using scale for verification! You will experience no motor shut down because of excessive heat due largely to excessive weight. In doing so you will add years of use to your Tumbler! Finally shipping with Amazon was fast as usual! and I recommend this product for fast and complete cleaning of al caliber cases! After thought: Cleaning of cases much better with spent primers removed!!!! COMMON SENSE!!!!
