Absolutely love it!
This is a top notch quality product. I got it with the Banana switches...and they are perfect, nice and tactile, clickity and clacky. A very nostalgic feel. I can't see how the more expensive Keychron models are any better? This thing is heavy, solid, stows 2 dongles, has a volume nob that you can press for mute. And of course all the RGB colors and patters you could want! It's even quite compact for a full 108 key model. I highly recommend. This finally upgraded my 15 year old Logitech MX5500 set, which was revolutionary during it's time and has functioned reliably still to this day, original battery in the mouse too. I have paired this V6 Max with the Keychron M6 1000 polling mouse with the metal scroll wheel. Very happy

This is probably the keyboard you're looking for
I was looking for a keyboard to replace my dying Logitech G810. I wanted a high quality mechanical keyboard, with independent macro keys, per key RGB, and an assignable knob or volume roller if possible. I ordered this Keychron V6 Max, and the Logitech G915X to test, and keep the one I preferred I opened the Keychron first. It was so good, I didn't even open the G915X, I just sent it back unopened Most everything about this keyboard is great. It feels great, it sounds great. It feels solid and built with quality. The switches and keycaps are hot swappable and non-proprietary. It stores everything in the keyboard's memory, so no software is needed for operation, but the web app works fine for customization. Even the packing felt like I was opening an expensive, quality product. The only cons I would list are: - RGB is south facing, so you don't get much light on shine through keycaps - The web app for customization, Keychron Launcher, can be a little unintuitive. It's functional, but not as clear as it could be - With my Logitech G810, it would automatically switch to lighting profiles made for supported games. You won't get that here If one of those things is a dealbreaker for you, then know that going in. But if you can live with those things, and you're looking for the same things I was, then this is probably the keyboard you're looking for. I was really surprised how much I liked it

Good budget keyboard for gaming and typing (banana switches)
Background: This is only my second keyboard since I started gaming. My first was a Razer Black Widow, which lasted over eight years. When it finally needed to retire, I decided to try something new. Keychron came highly recommended by my friends, and I chose the V6 Max because I’m a sucker for a numpad and extra keys—especially useful when gaming. I picked the V6 Max specifically for its full-size layout. I love having the numpad and extra keys for added functionality. The color scheme is basic but clean, giving it a nice minimalist look. I prefer using a wired connection over Bluetooth, so I haven’t tested the wireless feature yet—but I’ll update this review if I do. I went with the Banana switches, and the feel is very different from the Razer Green switches I was used to. They’re lightly tactile and produce a somewhat hollow sound when pressed. I'm not entirely used to the feel or sound yet, but that’s likely just because this is only my second mechanical keyboard. Still, the typing experience is smooth and satisfying. If you like a lighter actuation force, Banana switches are a solid choice. If you want more versatility for both typing and gaming, the Brown switches might be a better option. The keys have a nice texture—smooth but with just enough friction to prevent accidental slips. Even though I’m still adjusting to the feel, my typing remains accurate and fairly fast. I usually type at 120 WPM, and with this keyboard, I average around 105–110 WPM. As for gaming, the keyboard performs well. I’ve had no issues with responsiveness or functionality. I do prefer a more clicky switch for gaming, but that’s just a personal preference—the Banana switches still hold up well. If you like a softer, hollow-sounding switch that’s not too loud or too quiet, I’d recommend giving these a try. The RGB backlighting is fully customizable via the web or through QMK/VIA. It’s a cool aesthetic feature, though the lighting doesn’t shine through the keycaps, so it doesn’t help much with visibility in low light. There are also plenty of other customization options, including keybinding, firmware updates, key testing, snap action, key bouncing, etc. TLDR: Overall I give it a solid 5 stars as it's a good bang for your bucks. You are given a nice minimalist design with fully customizable RGB and key mapping. The Banana Switches offer a smooth tactile feeling to it with a hollow a sound, which makes it satisfying to hear, but not too loud. I have not tested out it's Bluetooth functionality because I prefer wired over it, but I will update my review if I ever use it.
