A nice piece. A gift for my grandson, and he will love it I’m sure. However, I wouldn’t necessarily depend on its 100% accuracy if I was lost in the woods :). But great for my needs! I am very happy with my purchase.

This item looks great but does not work at all like a compass. It seemed to point in random directions contradicting the establish city cardinal directions. I bought it because I was going backpacking for 9 days. I returned it because it couldn't show me south as I was facing due south from my office window.
