If your cat has to have this type of food, This is one of the best according to our vet. Our cats numbers improved. The problem is the price and lack of flavor choices. Cats do not prefer this food compared to regular food. They are picky eaters. So we constantly have to switch between the flavor choices available. It feels cruel when our cat begs for something to eat and skips meals for a couple of days. But as I shared before. Our 12 year old cat’s kidney numbers improved.

Great kidney care food. My cat loves it! Amazon gives the option to subscribe but makes it difficult to get. My vet gave a one year prescription to Amazon but they wanted another new prescription for each delivery. My vet sent another prescription and I am still getting notifications from Amazon that they are waiting for vet approval. I called and was told the vet needs to contact vet source directly. I live in Alaska and we have limited choices to get this food. It is so frustrating.

If your cat has high BUN/CREA or kidney issues I hope they are on this. The smell is pretty bad but my cat loved the taste and it’s helped him a lot. Perfect size to split into 2 feedings so I have some left over. My cat really enjoys this food and hasn’t had any flare ups since on it so I’m calling it a win.

My 18 year old cat has stage 2 kidney disease and this is the only food she will eat. I find that ordering directly from the Hills website is a hassle because they seem to keep losing the connection to the vet approval and every few orders I have to wait a few days for the vet to go in and reapprove the order. I have set this up on subscribe and save with Amazon and not had a single delay since. My cat is picky about pate and she likes this. I even have to keep my other cats out of it because they want her food instead of their own dry food.
