I've mostly been using cheap synthetic brushes and throwing them once they're cooked. They were good for the first two or three painting sessions but then got frustrating to use. I bought these to try something a bit better - it's been a night and day difference. The paint flows off the brushes so easily, it's made me such a better painter already. I don't know how long they'll last but just finished my third paint session with them and they're still as good as new. Highly recommended, I won't use any lesser brushes than these from now on.

I just got into miniature painting and didn't like the idea of paying $25-$30 for a single brush early on in this hobby but I also wanted something that had a better build. I am so glad I came across these brushes. The bristles stay together, the points stay sharp and being a quality synthetic, they have a firmness and stiffness I like when painting small details so I can feel the paint come off the brush without smashing the brush into the models I paint. These will definitely be my go to brushes. Da Vinci is known for their quality brushes. This set will not let you down.

the brushes do the job. the hair can keep pointy which non like other cheap ones. the brushes are very light weight in a negative way. the printing on the barrels are poor as my pic show. overall they are not matching the da vinci quality and brand image.

Love them they do everything great and what a brush needs to do. It great priced for 4 brushes and I love the small detailing brush. With this set you won’t need anymore or u can add a quill for big washes. Other than that this set is perfect. I’m just so happy with these brushes set. They came perfectly packaged no damages whatsoever! Thanks again!

Perfect set for what I was looking for & at a great price!

I use these to paint wargaming miniatures. I've always been a bit surprised that mini painting pros and influencers go to such lengths to promote kolinsky brushes. Natural hair brushes are most traditionally associated with fine painting: Kolinsky for thin paints like water color, and bristly haired brushes for oils. I find Kolinsky brushes far too fussy for miniature painting. After all, the "pointy bits" make it far easier to push moisture and pigment up into the ferule. Get these and worry less about how much you spent, the animals who are being fleeced, and whether you're going to ruin your brush. I promise you can get your army up to Parade standard with these.

I am new to using acrylics and I started with these brushes along with paint from Tamiya and Vallejo. So far, the brushes are keeping their shape and they spread the paint evenly. There are no strays and they clean out very well. I highly recommend these for the acrylics, I have not tried them with any of the Model Master enamels but I think they will be just fine!

Da Vinci are now my brush of choice cant fault them.
