No Discernable Vanilla Taste
Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I'll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Tastes like mushy peas
I chose this because I was conscious that I was eating artificial sweeteners 7-days a week with my usual protein powder on my breakfast of fruit and nut muesli… but flavouring my cereal with the distinct taste of mushy peas is a step too far 🤢

Not for me
Tasted horrible, gritty and powdery. I found it hard to drink and digest even mixed with berries and almond milk etc and feel like I wasted my money

this item has no other ingredients but what is on the label. clean, pure pea protein, with no lead ( google for yourself, how many pea and whey protein mixes have high residual amounts of heavy metals, lead and Cadmium.) the flavour is not sweet at all. so I added very ripe banana and blueberries, as well as 2 teaspoons of stevia. it then tastes like a milkshake . very impressed that the 5 lb container = 61 servings!! a previous pea protein that i had used for the last 2 years, barely gave me 9 or ten servings at a price of 25 dollars In conclusion, if you want clean protein, good taste with adding fruit and or spinach you will get a great tasting smoothie protein shake.

People, please don't just go by negative reviews. I saw a couple of negative reviews where they were complaining that it tastes like mushed peas. But... isn't that what it's made with?? Wow! People, this is a great whey protein alternative which will contain chickpeas and other non dairy goodies. 3 flavors offered - vanilla, chocolate and plain. I got the vanilla but definitely wasn't expecting it to taste like a Cold Stone Creamery super vanilla ice cream. So just use common sense, peas will taste like peas but it has the protein you're looking for. Forget the rest of the sugarholics expecting their protein podwer to taste like ice cream. Pea protein powder, 7/10! Weird taste at first, but you remember that you're drinking pea protein. Update - Vanilla flavored pea protein is now so much better to my taste palette. I taste the vanilla more. And I got jacked from working out, enjoying this vanilla pea protein and healthy meals. Work hard, get your reward!

Not the best tasting protein, but also I’m used to vegan protein powders being traditionally not very “yummy” dissolves well with a blender bottle and some soy milk. Just tastes earthy. For the ingredients and cost it’s a win for me

Disolved easily. Probably easier than any other protein powder I’ve ever tried. I can’t do Whey nor Casein nor Egg anymore. This stuff probably wrecked my gut. I train very regularly so I need a decently high protein intake and this does the trick very well. Taste isn’t bad at all. Don’t expect something sweet (it is slightly sweet just not candy sweet or typical protein shake sweet). Tastes sorta like something between oatmeal and chicory. I’ve added peanut butter to it before. Tastes pretty awesome that way. Pb doesnt disolve well but that s ok. I use a fork to batter it for 10 sec. The pb small strings/pepites is what tastes the strongest pb than the part that might go into smaller particles into the mix. Pea protein is the most well balanced protein in terms of amino acids out of all veggie proteins. It s pretty much like whey. Without the crap. Note that pea protein metabolizes into higher amounts of uric acid. If you have gout... this ain’t for you. If you don’t, well probably best to still watch your consumption. * UPDATE 4 months into it * Love this. I replaced 90% of my protein consumption with this. You really get used to the taste without adding anything. It’s also the cheapest protein with a balanced amino acid profile ( ie similar to meat or whey) on $/g of protein that money can buy by a factor of 10x vs steak and something like 2 to 5x vs whey. If you’re on a budget, pea protein should be your go-to source of protein.

If you like your protein pumped full of sugar, sweeteners, and additives go somewhere else. Protein Powder Doesn't Taste Good and this powder is no exception! You'll get used to the taste of this if you stick with it. If you drink almond milk plain, like I do, you can definitely stomach this. Plus you can add all the sugar you want to it once you get it if that's what you're into. This powder only has three ingredients and that's really all you need. Whatever else you need can be thrown into a smoothie. (I've left my recipes in the photos along with my muscle gain) To those saying the container is half full IT'S NOT! You gotta measure by weight and the scale shows in my photo that you're getting exactly what you pay for. It is an enormous container and I do wonder if it's necessary for it to be this large, but I just have it thrown on top of my fridge, so it's not that big a deal. If you have a smaller container to transfer it to that's great. Then recycle the packaging and container. Also two scoops is not a serving if you actually measure by the gram. I recommend maybe doing 1.5 scoops if you don't have a scale.
