Mostly because I don’t really make time to read in my noisy and chaotic life. After taking the time to read this book, it provoked many thoughts about why I fear being alone and prefer being distracted. This book is for the people who constantly overthink, analyze, and attempt to control the outcomes of life. I’ve ruined relationships because of the constant need to control and found that life has a way of naturally flowing that one can’t always predict or plan. I didn’t realize that all this time I needed to embrace my solitude to feel whole instead of looking outward for answers. I’ve come to terms that being alone in my company is truly what develops our sense of self and confidence in our decision while balancing our connections with other. Learnt to embrace your own thoughts in silence and clarity so you can find comfort in stillness rather than avoiding the discomfort of it. I also like how the book provides practical habits. I would definitely recommend this book. Review: Good way to start your mornings - I recently learned about Detachment as a skill and decided to pick up this book to learn more. It's an easy read and a great way to mentally start the day. I look forward to continuing to apply the skill to maximize my life.

wisdom. of life and aloneness
Aloneness doesn’t equate loneliness and I can’t agree with it more. People come and go alone and it’s a deep dialogue with your inner self
