Does it have to be dark in the room?

Not necessarily but preferably. Just turn off the light and voilà! There are very small veins that you could see better.

I mainly use the Wee Sight for infants and children under 2 years. I could see it also used on the elderly who have thin skin. I find that it makes the family a little more comfortable that you are taking the time to really look and not do a blind stick. Just on my unit, some nurses love it and some hate it.

will this work in well iluminated room? or just in dark rooms?
