Do these melt at all? I am not looking for them to melt completely into something like krispy treats, but do they melt in any way?

I have used these for smores and they are great for that! They get slightly melty and brown like regular marshmallows. I have never tried to melt them completely.

Is this truly a vegan product or are they using normal cane sugar which is not vegan?

I'm assuming you're referring to the use of bone char in cane sugar. If that is the case, then I've found a couple of sources that indicate that the sugar is not made using bone char. You could probably ask the folks at Pangea to verify, they've been very helpful for me in the past. I don't think they have any soy in them. I think they are free of major allergens. The dandies website is very helpful and will have the complete list of ingredients. I'm sorry I don't have a bag I can look at right now.
