Simple quality compact treadmill
So, following the advent of COVID I was fortunate to be able to work from home. One downside to this was that I found I spent a large amount of time sitting in one position (only moving for toilet breaks and to make the odd coffee). So, in order to improve my work environment I purchased a standing desk (from Amazon). This has been great as I try to stand for a good portion of the day. The only issue that I then found was that my step count for the day was woeful (some days only hitting 1k steps). So in order to improve things further I have purchased the Mobvoi treadmill. I've had the unit for a week now and it's been really great. The unit was very easy to assemble (all of the tools are bundled with the item - including some oil for future servicing). The treadmill can be used in walking mode (to go under a desk, where the console arm is stowed away) or running mode (where the console is raised) . My main intended use for the treadmill is for use whilst I'm in meetings (walking mode). The setup is simple, wheel the treadmill in and plug in the mains socket and then use the remote control to start the treadmill going (+/- buttons on the remote control the speed). I tend to set the speed to around a couple of miles per hour walking speed so that I can still concentrate on my computer screens. I'm pleased to say that the motor is really quiet whilst I'm working (I can barely hear it). The Good: Initial Setup was straight forward (all tools provided). The unit seems very sturdy (solid metal frame construction weighing in at less than 15kg). But the integrated wheels make it easy to move around (even on carpet). The unit folds very flat and is easy to hide away (I put mine behind my office door). The motor is very quiet in walking mode - so doesn't disturb my meetings. I haven't tried running (yet) In running mode (control frame up), there's a stand (detachable) to support a book, phone or tablet whilst you run. The controls are simple very to use. It's quick and easy to get out/stow away. Great price for the quality of the unit. Simple display that shows your speed and distance. The Bad: Nothing to complain about so far. Other : There is a companion phone app for the treadmill but I haven't tried it yet.

Compact and decent treadmill
Compact treadmill for home workout and limited space. The treadmill comes in a well packaged box with manual, tools and lubrication bottle. The treadmill comes pretty much ready to be used out of the box, the only thing that needs to be assembled are the handles which is very easy to install and clearly shown on the manual. There is a tablet holder which needs to be slotted into the frame which is straight forward, just make sure to face the rubber side towards you, as it is used for gripping the tablet in place. Then the kettle plug needs to be plugged in which has decent length. The treadmill has a safety tether clip which attaches under the tablet holder magnetically. The treadmill will not start without this safety feature and should be used by clipping it to your t shirt while running at high speed so that if you come off the treadmill the treadmill will automatically stop as soon as the magnetic safety tether is disconnected. The frame is made of metal and feels very sturdy. The best thing I like about this treadmill is the handle design which can be easily rotated and overall support frame can be folded down for walking mode without having to dismantle the handles. The previous model mobvoi treadmill had handle which needed to be removed for walking mode. The bonus on this version of treadmill is that the treadmill can be connected to your android smartwatch which was not available in the previous model treadmill that I owned from mobvoi. The previous model only had phone holder where as this one has tablet holder which sits nicely on the groove, I think you can place your phone as well but I need to test it with phone as it is not clamped down and does not slide in on the groove with phone case. I like the fact that Mobvoi actually thought about resolving all the problems. Make sure to read the manual if you have any problems and lubricate as instructed, sometimes the belt might get loose and drift to one side which is common on treadmill after several use, which can be fixed easily by adjusting the left and right tension with provided allen key. I think the smartwatch watch app can be improved by integrating and syncing the treadmill data with Samsung health app and Google fit app. The treadmill has maximum speed of 12km/h when the frame is upright position and 6km/h when the frame is on down position for walking mode. It comes with remote which can used during walking mode as the frame will be down where the control buttons are located.

Great value machine
Really happy with this. Wanted a machine to start running, as a beginner I didn't need anything too fancy or fast, although my husband sprints on it so it goes fast enough! Calculated that if it lasts me 6 months I have my money's worth compared to gym prices and it's still goibg strong 7 months in, hopefully it'll keep going that way! Love that it is easy to pack away, noisy but not excessive. Great for starting off if you dont want to pay big money.

My cat called me fatty, so I had to do something about it
I work from so this was perfect for me. However, one drawback was the amount of time I spent sitting in one position, only getting up for bathroom breaks or to make the occasional coffee. To improve my work environment, I decided to invest in a standing desk from Amazon. This change was fantastic, allowing me to stand for a good part of the day. However, I soon realized that my daily step count was alarmingly low some days barely reaching 1,000 steps. To address this, I recently purchased the Mobvoi treadmill. I've been using it for a month now, and it has been a fantastic addition. Assembly was straightforward, with all the necessary tools included, along with some oil for future maintenance. The treadmill offers two modes: a walking mode (ideal for under-desk use with the console arm stowed) and a running mode (where the console is raised). My primary use is during meetings, so I mainly use it in walking mode. Setup is simple—just wheel the treadmill into place, plug it in, and use the remote control to start it up. Speed can be adjusted with the remote’s +/- buttons. I typically set it to a couple of miles per hour, which allows me to stay focused on my computer screens. I’m happy to report that the motor is exceptionally quiet, making it unobtrusive during work calls. Pros: Easy Setup: Assembly was straightforward, with all tools provided. Sturdy Build: The treadmill has a solid metal frame and weighs less than 15kg. Despite its weight, integrated wheels make it easy to move, even on carpet. Compact Storage: The unit folds flat and can be easily tucked away—I store mine behind my office door. Quiet Operation: In walking mode, the motor is whisper-quiet and doesn’t disrupt meetings. Versatile Design: In running mode, the raised console includes a detachable stand for holding a book, phone, or tablet. User-Friendly Controls: Simple and intuitive to use. Convenience: Quick to set up and stow away. Value for Money: Excellent quality for the price. Clear Display: Shows speed and distance. Cons: So far, I have no complaints.

Compact Treadmill that's big on features and kind on your wallet
As I've been trying to get better in shape I thought I'd revisit the idea of getting a treadmill and came across the Mobvoi treadmill that ticked all the boxes I needed and since having it for around a month couldn't be happier. Unboxing and initial setup: The unit came pretty much fully built with just the side arms needing attaching. This was a simple few minute task and the tool needed to screw in the side arms is provided. Straight away I was really impressed with the thoughtful design clearly in place here. The arms rotate round so when folded away can be stored flat without the need to remove the arms. You can't underestimate the value of this design feature. It means the treadmill can be stored conveniently folded away and then brought out when needed just by wheeling into place, the unit is light enough this isn't a chore and sturdy enough for a decent workout without risks or concerns for safety or damage to the unit. I'm 6ft tall and a big guy and at no point do I feel cramped for space on the treadmill or concerns for the stability or sturdiness of the product. I've reached over 10km/h on the unit, this is in the living room whilst others are watching the TV and at no point did it feel the noise, other than the panting coming from me :) was disruptive. Smart features: I'm an Android phone user and also have a wear os watch. Compatibility with these devices is important to me and was an integral part of my choice. I have the Tic watch Pro 5 which is the perfect companion for the treadmill. You can easily pair the watch directly with the treadmill and get all key stats for your session. The unit comes with a non slip shelf big enough to hold a tablet. You can then pair the device with the treadmill and use this to display the stats and even a virtual run or training. Overall I would say if you are looking for a portable, compact, feature rich treadmill that can be used for walking or running and won't break the bank look no further!

Misleading motor power. Serious overheating issues
I bought this walking treadmill for daily use and was very disappointed to discover that the advertised specifications are misleading. The product is marketed as having a 2.5 HP motor, but after opening the unit and checking the motor label, the actual motor is 0.88 HP (≈650 W) permanent magnet DC motor. This is not a small difference — it’s almost 3 times less power than advertised. After about one month of regular walking (around 6 km per day, no running), the motor started to overheat badly. I noticed a strong electrical / burning smell, and the motor casing became extremely hot. This is a clear sign that the motor is working constantly at or beyond its limits. This treadmill might be acceptable for very light, occasional use, but it is not suitable for daily walking, especially for heavier users. Without additional cooling or long breaks, the motor is very likely to fail. Unfortunately, sellers use “peak HP” marketing, which has nothing to do with real continuous power. Most buyers won’t know this until it’s too late. I’m leaving this review to warn others: do not trust the advertised motor power and do not expect long-term reliability under normal daily use. If you plan to walk every day — look for a treadmill with real continuous motor power, not marketing numbers. When the motor overheats, there is no proper thermal protection, so continued use risks permanent motor damage. Replacing the motor is not economical and effectively makes this a disposable product.

A brilliant and handy piece of exercise kit
I kept making excuses to not go out for a walk in the morning before work or after coming home from work. I did a bit of research and found that this seemed to be the most well reviewed walking pad for a reasonable price. I feel motivated to jump straight on to this at any time of day and have already done thousands of steps a day on this walking pad. I love that it has a wider range of speeds accessible, so you can run on it if you want to. It's not as loud as I thought it might be as well. I can still hear my music if I've got smaller in-ear headphones in. It's easy to pack away or to move around the flat we currently live in. Picking it up from the back, it tilts on to a set of wheels, so you can roll the walking pad around without having to fully pick it up. I initially wasn't keen on buying a walking pad with a rail however, I surprised myself with how helpful it is to have a set of controls right in front of me like a typical treadmill. It also comes with a remote in case you prefer to keep the controls direct in hand. I keep the rail up as I'm not comfortable having it down behind the walking pad while in use. While the rail is up and in use, you can make use of the emergency attachment in case you fall off it. It also comes with a small plastic plate that sits on top of the rail where I can rest my phone, iPad or Kindle in front of me to watch videos, etc while I'm walking. Really happy with this purchase a few months into use.

Simple to setup and use, ergonomic, compact, and well-made
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this treadmill is. It’s compact and ergonomic, easily folded up and I can slide it under the furniture and out of the way, the wheels making moving it very easy. Of course, nothing is perfect, and there were a couple of things I think I should highlight: • The setup instructions are not as clear as they should be – I’d suggest updating them by a writer who has actually set it up. However, it’s just so simple to do so, that it really doesn’t matter much, so this is probably a non-issue. • My other criticism (again, a non-criticism, more a clarification) was connecting to the watch app. I tried a number of things and what finally worked for me was simply turning off Bluetooth on my phone just before pairing with the treadmill. It just worked when I did that and continues to work after I turned on Bluetooth on my phone again. With the negatives out of the way, I have to say this treadmill provides exactly what I want. When working at my desk, I can use the walking mode where the handles are lowered out of the way (as shown on the pic on the left). This limits the speed to 6kph, although I have to admit that when trying to use the computer, anything over half that is rather distracting. This allows me to stretch my legs instead of being glued to my chair all day, feeling refreshed after a little walk. Since the handle with its controls is folded out of the way in this mode, the speed can be adjusted with the remote control, a really clever idea. With the handles raised pic on the right), it works as a treadmill traditionally does. It supports speeds of up to 12kph which is quite fast, in fact faster than most people would bother trying. While the remote control works just fine in this mode, the manual controls (below) are also at hand and it’s probably easier to use these when you’re moving a bit faster. There’s also a safety cord that’s connected to a kill switch by a magnet just in case you fall. There are a couple of handy buttons, 3 and 6, that you can use to quickly select the common 3kph and 6kph speeds. The display is clear and displays the speed you’re running, the time spent exercising, the distance travelled, and the calories burned, switching every few seconds between them (below). I like this constant update, although I have to admit it’s a little disheartening to see that the calorie count doesn’t increase at the same rate as the other values. I can definitely recommend this treadmill. It’s sturdy, easily stored away, flexible enough to use to stretch your legs on a walk, and for a faster run. With the dreadful rainy spring we’ve had, it’s good to be able to jog a few km without also battling the elements, in the comfort of your home.
