This nostril retainer does what it is designed to do, but comfort is a significant issue. I purchased it for a very specific reason: to prevent my puppy from accidentally sticking his tongue up my nose when being affectionate. For that purpose, it does work. The silicone creates a physical barrier that effectively blocks airflow and access without slipping out easily. However, wearing it is extremely uncomfortable. Even though the silicone is soft, the internal pressure and constant awareness of the device made it difficult to tolerate for more than short periods of time. The size is listed as the most common fit, but it still felt intrusive and awkward once inserted. The product seems well made, and the silicone appears durable and easy to clean. I can see how this might be useful in certain medical or protective situations where function matters more than comfort. That said, anyone considering this for extended wear should be aware that it is not subtle or easy to forget you are wearing it. Overall, this product is effective at blocking the nostrils as intended, but the lack of comfort limits its practicality. I would recommend it only for very short, specific use cases rather than regular or long term wear.
