XLC Saw Guide

Needed a tool to cut the fork stem on the carbon road bike forks on the bike I was building, As I would only use the tool probably the once, I didn't want to go to the expense of a Parktool guide. Worked absolutely fine, nice a square cut...for more than half the price of an equivalent named brand👍

Bought this to cut a carbon road bike fork. Way cheaper than Park Tool. Worked a dream. Even used a metal blade rather than a so called carbon blade. No issues whatsoever.

Does the job. Remember to run the saw blade next to the steel guide plate not the aluminium body otherwise you are likely to cut into it as I did.

Successfully cut a fork steerer with this. Not sure which side of the gap is meant to be used to line up the saw blade presumably the non clamping side as that looks replaceable if absolutely necessary.

I bought this guide to cut a pair of aluminium handlebars. The guide slot is much wider than a metal hacksaw blade and I didn’t realise that, rather than guide, it let me go off course very quickly. The device is very soft metal itself, and so I cut a terrible angle through the body of the device, and on my bars. This would have ruined a carbon steerer post or seat post.

Cut two suspension fork steering tubes and a set of handlebars using this now. Cuts were straight and the guide is sturdy, holding the forks in place well on my bench. Excellent value and paid for itself already.

Medium quality but it does do the job, not sure how long it will last though.

Die meisten Fahrradlenker sind viel zu breit. Sie werden standardmäßig mit maximaler Breiter verkauft und kaum ein Fahrradgeschäft macht sich die Mühe mit dem Kunden die ideale Breite festzustellen und diesen dann darauf zu kürzen. Ich habe nach eine 90km Fahrt mit meinem MTB massive Probleme mit den Fingern (sind eingeschlafen) und Handgelenken bekommen und mich deshalb intensiv mit dem Thema beschäftigt. Meinen Fahrradlenker habe ich mit hilfe dieses Tools gekürzt. Es gibt dieses Tool auch teurer um 80 Euro, aber wer das nur ab und zu macht, für den reicht diese Sägeführung perfekt.

Aussitôt reçu aussitôt utilisé. Une fois l'entretoise enlevé la largeur de la fente est ajustée pour la lame de scie. Un peu d'huile de coude et c'est tout bon.
