Great for feet
This lotion is fabulous! Really helps soften calluses and rough dry skin. Goes on smooth without any greasy feel and absorbs great. Minimal fragrance for those with sensitivity.

Great for massaging into callused feet.
Some products for treating calluses on the feet are too harsh (chemical sloughing lotion or gels) or too greasy (foot balms, creams). As a diabetic, it doesn't take long for calluses to form on the bottom of my feet--especially the heels, the sides, and the bottom of the toes. I soak my feet in a foot spa once a month with warm water and Epsom salt (any "spa" variety: tea tree, lavender, peppermint, menthol) and use a fine emery board to gently abrade the hard calluses. The Epsom salt is what makes the calluses to slough off, and the fine emery board helps speed the sloughing process. In between soakings, I try to keep ahead of the stubborn callus growth by using the products mentioned above. Always looking for something "better" and a callus remover that wasn't prone to burn the delicate skin near the calluses, I found this: Major Pharmaceuticals' "Ammonium Lactate 12% Moisturizing Cream." Ammonia lactate is a natural moisturizer of the skin. It's an acid, which is primarily the reason it works to get rid of accumulated dead, dry skin cells. So that the acid doesn't irritate the skin, the lactic acid is neutralized with ammonium hydroxide. The result is a cream that is deliberately neutralized to a comfortable, human-friendly pH of 4.5 to 5.5. The key ingredient is ammonia lactate. It's the stuff that does away with dry, flaky skin, dead surface skin cells, and (what else but dead surface skin is calluses). The cream doesn't just remove dead, dry skin cells, leaving your skin bare and raw, like some products do. To protect your skin, the cream contains a number of emollients to hydrate, soften, and exfoliate dry and rough skin. Directions suggest applying the cream on dry skin twice a day. "Slow and steady wins the race!" the tortoise said to the hare. It's good advice in this instance. Harsh chemical sloughing lotions will quickly dissolve calluses, but it does so at the risk of burning and irritating proximal healthy skin. This cream works over a period of time that makes it safe for your skin. But in as little as three days, your feet will feel better, will look clearer, and seem softer. I recommend this product.

The best moisturizer
This is the highest percent lactic acid you can buy without a prescription, 12%. It's a cream it's thick and creamy and nice nothing will moisturize your skin your hands your feet your fingernails and toenails elbows knees like this will after it's absorbed you will see your skin literally transformed. If you have any scratches or lesions it will burn a little bit at first and then you'll get used to it after a couple of applications and it won't burn anymore but it will heal skin that is broken or burned or torn or cut yes it will burn but it will heal really nicely with this product. It's on scented it's not greasy it absorbs very quickly it's absolutely amazing for dry feet for older folks it seals in moisture. It's an amazing product highly recommend in using it for years and will always have it on hand. It will make you look very moisturized and moist when you sweat it looks sexy with this cream

Excellent product, but received two 4.9-oz tubes of cream instead of two 8-oz bottles of lotion
This is an excellent moisturizer for dry skin, but the seller's listing needs to be corrected. Since the title reads, Major Ammonium Lactate 12% Moisturizing Lotion - Lactic Acid Lotion - .. - Daily Body Lotion - Fragrance-Free - 8 Fl. Oz (2 Pack), and the photo shows an 8-oz bottle of lotion, I expected to receive two 8-oz bottles of lotion. Instead, I received two 4.9 oz tubes of cream. Thinking this was a fulfillment error, I returned the unopened, sealed tubes of cream and reordered the lotion, but again received two 4.9 oz tubes of cream. I kept those. I prefer the lotion, but the cream version contains the same % ammonium lactate as the lotion and works well, too.

Keratosis Pilaris
I tried this instead of my usual Amlactin and it works great. Felt the same, smelled the same, basically the same as the name brand but for less money. The cream goes on thick which I like (definitely prefer thick cream over the runnier lotion). I use a generous amount after my shower and let it dry. It looks white when I put it on but dries clear and is not too tacky. It definitely has that Amlactin smell - kind of like a sweaty handful of pennies - but it does the job. I have always had a very noticeable case of kp - worse than others I have observed. Between this and an exfoliating mitt when I shower, I would say it has improved the look of my keratosis pilaris at by 75%. It has improved the feeling of my skin by 80%. It definitely hasn't eradicated the kp completely but I am more than happy with the improvement.

Great for rough dry skin
My husband was originally prescribed this from his Dermatologist but it was in the more liquid form. I ordered this (same company, same ingredients) from Amazon in the thicker tube form and he prefers it over the thinner liquid form. It has done wonders for his dry skin.

Great Product
I have used this product for several years. My doctor was the one who originally recommended to me. I think it's the best hand cream available. My hands are soft and smooth, and my nails are stronger. Since I started using Ammonium Lactate 12% moisturizing cream, I no longer get painful crakes at the end of my fingers in winter. I urge everyone who want soft smooth hands to use this product.
