I purchased this device as I have a heart condition and having such a continuous monitoring system helps me. The device was very easy to setup and I was able to quickly connect and pair it to my phone. I was pleasantly surprised that this also includes a Bluetooth connected Cuff device as well as I thought I'm only getting the cuff wrist monitor so its definitely value for money at this price point. This is the first time I'm using a Bluetooth based device and It works perfectly without the need for any wires. The first calibrated reading was accurate when I compared it with my existing traditional BP device and subsequent usage has been great so far. It has lot of useful functions like the ability to set reminders to take medication for my peace of mind. There seems to be lot of additional features which I'm yet to explore. The wrist monitor is also very light weight and is black so it blends well with most outfits. All in all, I'm a happy customer and would highly recommend this product!

I purchased this as an upgrade from twice-daily readings using an Omron X7 Smart device, which appeared to be producing accurate readings. The reading from the Hilo cuff on the first calibration was 40% higher than from Omron taken at the same time. The subsequent wristband readings were consistent with this high initialisation, with little variance, despite other checks showing much lower figures. Since then, over a week, I have performed many recalibrations and, in most cases, the Hilo cuff is consistent with Omron, although invariably 15% higher. However, the wrist measurements have remained sky-high, night and day, and I have absolutely no confidence in them. This is a pity because the concept is excellent. I realise that the wrist measurements are an extrapolation of the cuff calibrations, but this inconsistency is worrying. As a one-off example, the Omron X7 Smart readings averaged 111/71. The Hilo cuff returned 119/69. I recalibrated the band at 119/69, but subsequent readings still averaged 150/80. Recalibrations had no effect on the figures. In desperation, I “forgot” the device on my iPhone Bluetooth but then found that there is no pairing button on the band or charger, which means I can no longer paid the band. This was the point of no return for me. I have tried to speak to someone to discuss this, but there appears to be no human support. All I see is a list of typical questions that are not helpful in this case. I have now returned this device as not fit for purpose. Apart from the operational problems, the wristband is showing consistently very high readings which are at odds with the cuff and third-party monitors. This could seriously worry someone who is not familiar with blood pressure monitors. Shown to a doctor, these figures could result in dangerous over medication. Incidentally, the Hilo was recommended by my cardiologist on a recent consultation and I have shared my findings with her.

The band itself is unobtrusive and light and the app looks professional. The cuff however disconnects during calibration even after multiple attempts, meaning you have to begin the calibration process again and again. I managed to get this working once and never again. The support process is also slow with a chatbot rather than being able to speak to someone. I will be returning this and cannot recommend it. The premise is indeed promising but this needs to be developed properly.

Seems to work very well though i have not been able to confirm its accuracy. So far I am very satisfied especially as it says my BP is normal now having been high for the first 4 days of calibration. Hope its not just telling me what I want to hear.

The HiLo bracelet is a solid product, but it does require some initial setup to get the best results. It comes with a cuff that you must use to validate and adjust the bracelet's readings. Once I went through that pairing process, the accuracy improved significantly compared to when I first started using it. That said, compared to my doctor’s office, the bracelet still reads moderately higher. It measures about every 30 minutes and averages those into 2-hour blocks, which is great for seeing trends. The battery life is excellent—it can easily last a week, though the USB charging dock is fast enough that I usually just top it up every few days.
