Quality of the gum was amazing, not stale, and the texture was exactly like the old style bazooka gum I grew up with. quality and size was perfect.

This is a great value. The gum is just like I remember it. Yes, that means it’s a little bit hard at first, but that’s how it used to be. The bubbles you can blow are ginormous! Loved still seeing the bazooka Joe comics inside the wrapper. Disappointed, however, with the shipping. The plastic container was broken and some of the gum was loose in the bag. I was hoping to display it as is, but instead I’ll purchase a 80/90’s glass jar. As you can see, it was delivered in a plastic bag with another more sturdy item that was not damaged. (I hope the shipping dept makes note if these complaints and does better.)

My bucket of 225 pieces arrived today (April 30, 2021) and to my surprise contained the Bazooka Joe comics whereas many reviews here said this gum did not. Maybe the sugar free kind does not, or the smaller containers? The gum looks different as it is just a large slab. The kind I remember from the 1960's and 1970's had a dividing line down the center of the piece so you could try to break it in half and I think the original had slightly different dimensions and texture. The pieces appear to have about the same amount of gum as I remember, fairly large and definitely bigger than Double Bubble pieces of gum. The flavor appears to be a little different than I recall but it is okay and lasts longer than the sugarless gum I have bought for the past 20 years. I give them an extra star for not shrinking the pieces down a great deal. I am blowing bubbles just fine with mine, so I do not know why some people on the comments say you can't do that with this gum. Biggest difference other than he flavor is difficult it is to remove the wrapper and get the comics insert out intact. The original gum, as old folks can tell you, had a powder coating that made it easier to peel the paper off. It may also be that the machine folding the paper on the ends is causing the problem by pushing the wrapper into the gum. The more pieces I open I think that is the bigger problem with getting the wrapper off without tearing it. Not bad bubblegum and superior to a lot of other bubble gum I have had in the past couple of decades. Probably worth trying if you are on the fence or curious about it.

There are certain gums I enjoyed when i was Younger. Bazooka was always a good value, i think i could get them $0.05 each. Big League Chew was also decent. I recently reacquainted myself with Bazooka gum, as I was looking for a sugar chewing gum, without a lot of extra stuff, that was what it was. Bubble gum. It had been years, but, so far, after going through about 100 pieces of this Bazooka Retro gum this year, it seems to be about the same flavor and consistency. When you first get to the gum, yeah, it's tough, but, that's how I recall it always being. Though, I recall the gum used to have ridges on it, now it's just a flat rectangular piece of gum. So, it's not all as I remember it, but pretty close. No big deal there. It's a decent chewing gum, but, the flavor does fade fast. However, the consistency of the gum's chew is pretty good. If you liked the Bazooka chewing gum from years past, this Bazooka Retro gum may not be exactly the same, but, it's pretty close. Also, the 225 piece tub of it, is a good value. About the comics, I see some people in these reviews posted photos of some weak comics found in their chewing gum, that are just jokes, and such. Well, none of the Bazooka Retro gum I have opened had those style comics. All of the comics were the same style as what I recall from the past.

This Bazooka bubble gum bulk tub is awesome! The individually wrapped pieces are perfect for parties, goodie bags, or Halloween treats. Brings back that classic 90’s flavor, and everyone loves it. Great way to stock up for events or just enjoy a little nostalgia. ⚾
