Otic Enzymatic Ear Solution for Dogs and Cats to Soothe Ear Infections Without Hydrocortisone, 1.25oz

Want to write a review in hopes that it helps out another dog parent. My dog is prone to ear infections from yeast. I was looking for a product to treat at home and came across zymox otic hydrocortisone 1% it had great reviews so I was excited to try it. Day 1 started out great, was super easy to apply and appeared to be legitimately working for my dog as the smell from her infection was way less strong and less irritated. 4 hours later she continued shaking her head a ton so I was questioning when that goes away but think thats kind of normal. But than she tryed to itch it alot and noticed more redness it appeared to leave a noticeable mild rash I had done some more research and it appeared there are side effects to using steroids and some dogs are allergic to hydrocortisone and one of the side effects are rash!! I was disappointed as I found that out cause I really felt it would work outside of giving her a rash that caused more itching. But than I found this version of zymox that is hydrocortisone free and decided to try that as a last resort and am on day 4 and there is no rash and this product is really working!! Annoyed that I'm $40 down now by buying two bottles of this stuff but hoping this will save me way more money in the future. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you have a pup that you know is more skin sensitive and the infection is mild I recommend trying the hydrocortisone free version first!! It's hard to pinpoint what ingredients your dog might be sensitive too but hope this helps somebody!!
