I am an older gentleman who has played around with instruments all my life, but wanted to actually get good at something. So I bought this bass guitar, thinking "at $120 with shipping, what's the risk?" Turns out this is a REAL instrument, albeit on the low end. The amp is only good enough to learn with, and the feedback is pretty bad when you try to turn it up. But it gives you a rich deep sound at lower sound levels, plenty to learn with in your living room. The strings and frets are not top-notch, but good enough to learn the basics. Bottom line - if you want to dip your toes in and see if this is for you, you can't go wrong with this setup. I am honestly impressed by how much you get for so little!

I decided to learn bass and this fit my budget, so I ordered it. The amp that was sent buzzed a lot, regardless of outlet (tried other buildings here and there with no luck) so I contacted the seller. They sent me a replacement amp rather quickly and it's working great! The bass is heavy and feels solid. After tuning, everything sounds clean and clear. I'm very happy I bought this
