Very Quick And Convenient - Long Holding & Quick Charging
I've had my shaver for two weeks and have used it for 12 out of 15 days so far. My routine is to wet my bald head with a warm wash cloth and apply shaving gel to my head and neck (shaved head with a beard). Shaving is quick and easy and I get a reasonably close and comfortable shave (no issues shaving my neck). I previously used a Gillette cartridge razor. While the Skull shaver does not shave quite as close, that is to be expected. The difference is the shave is not as smooth to the touch but IT LOOKS JUST AS GOOD! Clean up is simple; hot water in the container provided and turn the razor on for a brief time (oh - I use the provided brush to brush out the hair which traps neatly inside). Lastly, every few days I add 90% isopropyl alcohol to the cleaning water. Almost forgot - After a dozen uses, the battery is at 74%. I haven't had to recharge yet! UPDATE ON CHARGING: I've had the shaver for 48 days and used it 39 times. This morning, it was at 30% so I plugged it in to charge for the first time. It took just about exactly 1 hour to charge from 30 to 100%. Lastly, I remain completely and pleasantly satisfied with my daily shave (on my neck and bald head).

Great Day to be Bald
I almost never write reviews, but I spent a mint on this and felt like it was worth giving some feedback. This product is incredible. It's been almost 10 years since the universe took my hair, and I finally feel like it's been made up to me. I've tried all manner of shaver. Spent way more than the $200 this cost trying to find a good mid-priced one, but months of 'Rona isolation have driven me to the brink of madness and I finally bit the bullet and spent the cash on something nice. Glad I picked this one. The first thing you'll notice is that this baby is big. Weighty. The kind of product people post about on Reddit speculating that tHeY pUt wEiGhTs iN iT sO iT fEeLs hIgH qUaLiTy. Heck, maybe they do. But I doubt it. This bad boy sounds like a hedge trimmer and probably has more HP than my freakin' Corolla. It would be hard to maneuver except for the finger cutouts, which make it ergonomically delightful even if you have chonky, gorilla-esque sausage fingers like me. It just looks and feels like a quality product. The accompanying cleaning stand feels high quality too, and you can feel good displaying this in your bathroom. You know. If you're the type of dude (or dudette) who worries about commode aesthetics. So then I go to use it. Click on. Shave. Click off. Simple. Clean. I like that. And guess what else was simple? The whole shaving process. This cuts my shaving time down from 15-20m to under 5. Boom. Click on. 5m. Done. And my head has never been so buttery smooth. A couple passes over the ol' noggin, and you've got a silky smooth shave better than anything short of a straight razor. And those have never been viable for me since my hands shake like I'm in the back seat of a dune buggy on a gravel road during an earthquake. At the end of the day, that's what this whole review boils down to. The shave is incredible. Plus, I've always struggled to get a good shave day-to-day; 1-2 days it's too short and I miss hairs but longer than 3 and it gloms up my razor and turns into a whole fiasco. So since I don't have the discipline to reliably hit that tiny window, my look cycles between "clean-cut professional" and "5 days of patchy Brillo Pad-like growth a la Carrot Top after a cooking accident" and I HATE that inconsistency. But this product makes it quick and easy to keep my head looking clean every single day. If only I could still leave my house. So to wrap this all up, I highly recommend this product. I'm not gonna list you pros and cons, because some things I like about this might put you off. It's loud. It's big. It doesn't have attachments, flip-out doodads, or really any bells or whistles. But if you want to press up up down down left right left right on being a bald guy, buy this shaver. That's it. Thanks for reading. Stay bald and beautiful.

Hook and Bait trick
The first saver I received was a Christmas present. I was very skeptical of the concept that a shaver could work on my coarse hair but after staring at it for 3 months, I opened it up and used it. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. Exact 2 months later, the unit died & failed to charge. I didn’t send it back because it was a present but I ended up purchasing the $199 unit – thinking it could be better quality and provide a closer shave. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It performed exactly like the cheap one. The only difference is that the second, more expensive Pitbull shave lasted only a month! I promptly reached out to customer service via email. They replied with asking me to help them diagnose the issue. I’m not use to this. Usually if something I purchased online is defective, I send it back – and I’m done with it. And besides, I who has the time to sit and diagnose a shaver?? but whatever, I did it. They determined that the unit was defective. They agreed to replace the unit with a refurbished one. But that’s not the worst of part of it……I had to pay the shipping to send it back before a replacement could be mailed out! I have to pay the shipping???? Wow. They sell defective shavers and if you want them to honor their warranty, it will cost you $$ Point number two - the blades are insanely expensive. $49. That’s more than have the price of the $89 unit. Makes no sense to me. Point number 3 – when you need new blades, do not expect the same quality blade that the unit originally came with. These replacements are made in the poorest quality you can image. It’s the old bait and hook trick. Once you own their shavers, they got you. Point number 4 - see the image. The expensive $199 unit is actually the same as the $49 unit except it comes with a thin layer of chrome finish paint. I found a better razor, WITH BETTER QUALITY, with lower priced blades on Amazon.

Expensive but reliable
I recently upgraded from the Gold Skull Shaver to the Platinum model, and while I’m happy with the purchase, there are a few things to note. As a Black man with coarse hair follicles, I shave my bald head every two days and have had zero irritation while wet shaving with shaving cream, which is a big plus. The Platinum version does come with some nice upgrades, like a washing stand and a more advanced interface compared to the Gold version. However, I honestly feel the Gold version offers a better bang for your buck—it’s about $100 cheaper, and I can’t say the Platinum performs significantly better to justify the price difference. That being said, I love how easy it is to clean. You just need to run the blade under water for about five seconds, and I’ve never had any issues with hair jamming the blades. The shaver has been super reliable, and the brand in general makes great products for bald heads. Just make sure to follow the recommended replacement times for the blades. Overall, I’m giving it 4 stars because of the higher price, but I don’t regret the upgrade. It’s a solid, well-built shaver, just a bit on the expensive side.

Absolutely the best for a bald head!
I have been bald by choice for last two decades. I have tried many electric razors from all the big brand names over the years and all fell way short of their claims for a close smooth shave. They all felt like plucking devices instead of a shaver. That left me one option which was a razor blade. I have resorted to shaving cream and a razor for nearly the entire 20 years that I have been shaving my head. I am happy with the result of a razor, but the time it takes and the occasional slicing of the head have always left me hoping for something better. Along comes Skull Shaver Pitbull Platinum PRO. I thought I'd give it a try and I was blown away with the results. This shaver is the perfect shaver for a bald head. Feels great during use, and the results are great. Let's be truthful that this shaver isn't going to leave your head as slick and shiny as a razor but it's so close, that the convenience of this shaver makes this the winner. I have found that because it is so easy to use that I am shaving my head every other day to keep that just cut look. The battery life is ridiculous. I charged this before using the first time and I have used it 2-3 times each week for the last month and it still has 60% battery remaining. The way it fits your hand makes it very easy to use, it's almost like rubbing your head with your hand. The blades are super sharp and cut as well as a standard razor. The overall result is WOW!! If you are bald and shave your head you owe it to yourself to try this razor.

Convert from HeadBlade
Some context: I had been a HeadBlade user for many many years, using the 3-blade cartridges on the Sport model and shaving against the grain. It was the smoothest shave ever, even if it did irritate my skin a bit. When they stopped making the 3-blade cartridges I switched to the 2-blade ones and was never very satisfied. Shaving against the grain caused even more irritation and nicks, and shaving with the grain did not provide as close a shave as I liked. So I explored electric razors and all the reviews pointed towards this model. I have been using it every other day for five weeks now. It took a week or two to get used to it in terms of getting a close shave (the instructions indicate to expect this), and I would say that the closeness is pretty good. It will never be the same as shaving against the grain with a blade, but it is certainly closer than shaving with the grain with a blade. And no irritation at all. I don't need to use anything to soothe my scalp post-shave, the way I had to with after shaving with a blade. Battery life is awesome. It was charged at 98% out of the box, and I have yet to charge it. After five weeks, I still have 25% battery life left, and that includes cleaning time in the stand. The razor itself is certainly easy to use, and feels good in the hand. I use it in the shower with Proraso shave cream. The one ding I will give it, which is not really a ding, is that it is unclear that the Platinum PRO comes with the travel case, charger, and stand all in a very nice package. Not knowing this, I ordered the stand separately, but rather than send it back I'm holding on to it as some reviews question its ability to last (I've had no problems so far).

Super product!
My husband loves this! He was tired of razor shaving his head 3x weekly and this was the solution. He says it works best in the shower and loves the long battery life and travel mode.
