Love the leash now but it was a challenge to switch from the older one. Sometimes, when I least expect it, more leash comes out than I want. Good thing the dog is trained to heel, This one matches in color her collar.Purchased October 2014. About a month ago, after less than a year from purchase, leash began to not retract quickly enough and dog kept getting tripped up on leash. When I tried to pull my dog away from a site with some broken glass and she resisted, I went flying backwards to the ground. Luckily neither of us was hurt. About two weeks later the leash no longer retracts at all. Also the finish on the grip is peeling off. So it's back to the old Flexi Standard. Glad I didn't throw it out or give it away.

Small and comfortable to hold. The very first time I hooked it up to my dog he pulled it out of my hands (my fault) and got it all scratched up. Bummer.The lock button works good. Don't know why someone said the leash material is razor sharp cause it's not lolIt's also not 16 feet.

I love the look to this! It's so stylish and it works great! Not to mention my dog LOVES this leash so much better than his last because he can go out further from me and he doesn't get tangled up. I love it because he is pulling so much less by being able to go out far and he isn't choking himself anymore! It's perfect!My dog is also pretty small (15lbs) this leash wouldn't work with a big dog because they would probably break it. Just a heads up!

After only a couple of days it broke. I have a very active Beagle that loves to sniff around so I always allow her plenty of space to do so, that is why I buy retractable leashes. Three days of use and this product went to the garbage, does not retract anymore. I opened it trying to fix it with no use. I do not recommend this product. I will go back to my old brand that lasted over a year. What a waste of money.

the retraction system on this thing should only be for a sub 20 pound dog... luckily mine doesn't stray too far from me.

Worked okay for the first month - didn't retract quick enough if my pup ran towards me, so she was constantly getting tangled up in it. About a week ago the inner spring mechanism (took it apart and looked - plastic) broke and it wouldn't retract at all. Won't be buying again!

It is hard for me to hold due to arthritis , but it works fine

not as heavy as I've had in the past.
