Best baby monitor and great investment into my baby's safety
Couple years ago I bought M6 model as a gift for my nephew. His is 2 years old now, and his parents still enjoy every feature of that device. Recently I became a father and bought for my baby boy M7 model, which is even more advanced than M6. I don't wanna spend time talking about installation, because it is quite easy, and anyone can do it. Most of time during the week I'm away from home, and M7 baby monitor helps me to be close to my baby and my family. High definition camera provides perfect footage, even at night (so far I've got a collection of unique pics and videos taken by this camera monitor, and hopefully in the future I can make a compilation video), 2-way audio talking feature helps to communicate with my wife (and baby as well) while she takes care of the baby, and no need for her to be distracted by the cellphone. Sometimes I even sing to my baby using that audio speakers. All those sensors that monitor the air temperate, air quality and VOC give the piece of mind that environment around my baby is safe and comfortable. With the feature of multiple users, my baby's grandparents can see as well how he is growing up, even though being in Europe. Very soon our baby will start moving by himself (crawling, walking) and here will be handy the feature of moving the camera pointing direction remotely, in case if baby moves out from the camera's view. I'm excited to have M7 baby monitor. Our family friends expecting their first baby soon, and I'm planning to buy one more of this monitor as gift for them, and I'm sure they will enjoy it the same way I do.

Great mechanics, but with dealbreaker flaws.
Really disappointed in the app associated with the camera. The camera itself is great, but the app is poorly engineered and not maintained. There hasn't been an update in 6 months, despite a support rep swearing up and down that my issues would be addressed (back in January). For the past week, I've had repeated disconnections and since they STILL have not added an auditory notification for that occurrence, I have an untrustworthy monitor system. I can't understand how they don't see how VITAL this easy feature is. If my monitor disconnects, I need to know about it! I'm using it to keep tabs on my sleeping child while I'm out of earshot or sleeping myself - of COURSE I need to be notified if it's no longer streaming. This shows an utter lack of insight into the parent experience as well as complete disregard for the needs of their customer base. I truly can't imagine what they are thinking. We are a technologically capable couple and have gone through all the standard troubleshooting and then some. This is absurd. -- Update 05/2016 Most of my complaints have to do with the music functionality, which is something that we'd come to heavily depend on as a sleep aid with our other monitor system (Cloud Baby Monitor, a mobile app that we ran on iOS devices). I contacted support asking if there may be workarounds or future updates to address these problems, but the person with whom I spoke (Bricio Garcia) was entirely incompetent as far as their comprehension of my questions and their ability/willingness to suggest solutions. 1. You cannot set playback settings such as repeat or a sleep timer. If you turn on music, it plays only one track to the end then stops. This is especially problematic for middle-of-the-night wakeups: I have to stay awake and babysit playback until it's enough for my kid to re-settle. 2. Default music tracks cannot be deleted. They are all cartoony, Barney-esque childrens' music, and most not sleep-friendly. 3. Turning on music completely interrupts the listening audio stream, meaning that you cannot play music and listen in on your child at the same time. Music is a soothing tool, and I need to know whether or not she's still fussing. This seems like an incredibly obvious oversight - do none of the developers of this product have children? The above two issues can be managed (though the end user should have to), but this is a huge problem. I've only used it for one nap so far, and I already know I'll have to return it because these issues are total dealbreakers in our family. What a disappointment.

Quality image but not quality camera
I got the iBaby M7 for my daughter who is now four and love the camera, even though the app has a few flaws. We’ve been using it for four years now and have been mostly happy with it. When I had my second child I decided to get the ibaby M2C so that I could use both on split screen. The camera image quality is great, the sound quality is noticeably not as good as the M7, it sounds echoey, lags, and I have to turn my phone volume up all the way. I decided to go with the M2C the second time around because it seemed like it would be easier to travel with as it’s smaller and it’s easier to connect it (no usb cord required to connect to your phone like you do with the M7). I am disappointed with the quality compared to the M7, I’ve only traveled with the M2C once and when I reconnected it back at home, the cord won’t stay in the port tight enough to stay connected. I’ve resorted to taping it in but now it’s not very portable and it still wiggles loose enough to disconnect in the middle of the night. I reached out to ibaby for a replacement but still waiting on a response. Update 4/29/24: iBabyCare emailed me back the next day and requested proof of purchase. After providing that information, they sent me out a prepaid return label to send back the defective monitor for a replacement. I received the replacement fairly quickly and set it up with no issues. Sound quality still isn’t the greatest though compared to my M7. Customer service has greatly improved since I dealt with them last a few years ago when I had issues with my other iBabyCare monitor.

Absolutely a good experience with this monitor!
Here are the five things I absolutely love about our new monitor M6: 1. I love love love that the monitor is able to turn and I can basically see the whole room easily. I just need to swipe my finger on my phone screen. I don’t need to adjust the monitor angle manually and then check where the viewfinder is, I can do it from anywhere in one second. 2. I still can’t get over the fact that the audio in this device is two way! Not only I can hear my baby laugh and cry but I can also respond back and know that she can hear it well. Sometimes I can see her kind of starting to wake up and I talk to her softly and she goes back to sleep – without me needing to go to her room. 3. My husband does a lot of business travel and unfortunately misses a lot on the baby’s milestones. With this monitor he can easily check on our babygirl when he is away. He says the quality of video is great even when he is so far. 4. The voice recording is just great! I can see a lot of potential for it when the baby gets older – I can record some bedtime stories and leave her listening to them and fall asleep by herself. Right now we use it to play lullabies of my husband singing. I play them for our daughter when he travels for work. 5. Very easy to get it running. No need to even read the manual. The set up took us less than 2 minutes.

Not perfect but cheaper than the Nannit
The camera is definitely NOT 1080p and, before you ask, my internet is 100gb down and 10gb up and the monitor is in the same room as the router. There is some pixelation and motion blur. The picture is not what I would call crisp. I would put the picture quality around 480p. It's not terrible but definitely not 1080p. Slight delay with the pan and zoom but that was expected. No audible noise was created by the motors when panning, which was a concern. The bed time stories are sourced from public domain archives and have lengthy introductions stating this fact. Many of the readers have soothing and caring voices but some sound agitated, cold or just bored. The nature sounds and white noises are nice. The lullabies, at least every one I've played so far, are sung by the same person who sounds, well, creepy. All recordings were of decent quality. Temperature readings were accurate. The app requires a LOT of permissions, but that was somewhat expected. Overall set up was relatively easy. If the camera was as advertised I would be extremely happy with this purchase. However, as it currently stands, I feel somewhat cheated and lied too...but, I'm also not going to shell out $300+ for the Nannit which is the only other monitor that would have a better camera. Overall, unless you can afford the Nannit, this is probably the best monitor in this price range. It's not perfect but it will get the job done.

Great monitor
I will say, I did a LOT of research when it came to getting another baby monitor for my second child. My first monitor was the infant optics DXR-8 which I feel is a fantastic monitor BUT I wanted a monitor that would connect to my iPhone so it could go farther. The infant optics, having a handheld screen that goes with the camera, it reaches to my neighbors living room which is a great range but this, the camera needs to be in a good range to the router in the house but my iPhone can be anywhere and I can see my sons room. This monitor worked in my daughters room which is far away from our router and also worked fabulously in our room which is much closer to the router. The picture quality is fantastic, I love that you can record videos or take pictures and I like that I can use the listen feature for the monitor and still be able to lock my phone and have the sound still be going. The movement with the monitor is absolutely fabulous but the only thing I will say is that I wish the movements were a little finer, you can’t make small movements, the smallest movement moves the monitor about 2 feet and I wish it could go a little less. That being said I still would 100% buy it again. The install was also amazingly simple. This monitor shows the temp and the humidity in the room which comes in really handy. I think the price point of this monitor is a little high seeing as though it’s only the camera and some of the cameras that come with a camera and monitor are cheaper but it still wouldn’t keep me from buying it again since I can watch my son perfectly with this monitor.

So far it has been fantastic. My wife loves that she can check to see if the baby's eyes are open without entering the room. She was also able to check in on her while she was out running errands. Allowed her to decide if there time to run one more. I love that I can open it on my phone and turn on the listen function. Then if I'm outside working in the yard I can hear her if she makes any noise. I love being able to pan the camera from my phone. The only problem I had was the initial setup. It worked fine when I initially set it up but when I took it to the nursery I suddenly couldn't connect any more. I realized after a little trial and error that it was because I was that much further away from my router. It was trying to send me live video feed over a barely there connection. I fixed the problem with a cheap range extender that I put in the room next to the nursery. Now it works flawlessly and I even get better internet speeds on my other devices. Overall I highly recommend this to any parents. It provides a lot of comfort for those who have quiet babies that might not register much on a sound only baby monitor. I have the ability to check in on her when I am at work and I've also now learned that my dog starts to get excited about us coming home about 30 minutes before we actually get home. So I think it's worth it.
