I love this meat thermometer! It determines the temperature in about 1/2 second, turns on when you open it then turns off when it’s closed. So convenient and especially accurate too! I threw out my old meat thermometer already.

This thing is perfect! It feels very sturdy and durable. I love how quick the temperature reads. I was changing the temperature of my sink water and watching the reading change as quickly as I felt the temperature change on my finger! It even auto rotates depending on how your holding it, plusss a light up screen. So glad to finally have a reliable thermometer

I bought mine as a thermometer for testing water temperature while fishing. I learned quickly that the thermometer is water resistant, but not water proof. This, after brief shallow immersions where small waves lapped against the thermometer. I managed to clean out the moisture and the thermometer started working again. I covered the back plate of the thermometer with duct tape and am still using this thermometer for testing water temperatures, but by putting the water into a cup first rather than probing the water surface directly. As a kitchen thermometer, mine works well enough to be comparable with the famous Thermoworks thermometer, at least in the short term. Response time is about the same and readings are about the same. I have a Thermoworks thermometer and I think it was worth the money because it has been durable, reliable, accurate, and of extremely high quality. If you're serious about a durable accurate kitchen thermometer for the cooking enthusiast, buy the Thermoworks product. This thermometer is definitely better than the thermometers I've bought at major department stores.
