Let me start by saying, I love the smell of the spiced shampoo. It smells like cloves. I have never used a dog shampoo that lather's so well. It is very concentrated and gives a rich thick lather. And rinses off with ease. Leaves my dog squeeky clean. Does a good job killing the fleas but not sure if it kills the eggs. I still have to bathe him twice a week to stay ahead of those little boogers. I Highly recommend this product!

This stuff really works. My dogs have been itching like crazy (allergies are high so I wasn’t too worried) but then they kept itching and then I saw the pesky flea. I put this on my dog and it lathered up so nicely and let it sit for 8mins. In those 8 mins so many fleas came to the surface and died. After washing and drying my dog they’re resting and sleeping comfortably without itching! I know we might have to repeat because there might be eggs or such leftover but the relief in just one bath is worth it!

Recently we went through the nightmare of my Pomsky getting fleas. He was sick and on antibiotics at the time, which somehow resulted in his getting fleas despite being on a monthly flea/tick med. This shampoo was one of many solutions we tried to get rid of the fleas. My dog's coat is extremely thick, dense and long, so it's very difficult to get close to his skin. I did see dead fleas in the bath water after using it, and I'd say it's just about as effective as Dawn dish soap at killing fleas. Which is to say, it will kill whatever fleas it comes into contact with if used correctly, but it does not necessarily guarantee your flea problem will be over and done with. In the case of my dog, it offered a little temporary relief but didn't solve the problem or repel new fleas. So, maybe not the best flea shampoo, but it is a really nice dog shampoo. It's been quite awhile and I can still smell it. Other dog shampoos have made my dog smell really bad in the aftermath; this stuff smells amazing and does do a really good job of cleaning the dog's fur. I would just strongly advise you do a test first to make sure your dog isn't freaked out by such a strong herbal smell.

This shampoo leaves my dogs hair sooo shiny and leaves him smelling like mint. After the first shower with this shampoo 90% of his fleas were gone. Will be buying again

I think it works pretty well as I don't see any more fleas on our dog. That being said, the big issue i have with this is the smell. It is extremely strong smelling. I find it difficult to deal with in a room that is not aerated. Our dog kept sniffling and sneezing due to this shampoo. He did smell great afterwards but the process seemed a bit much.

I don’t buy any other flea shampoo now! I’ve been using Vet’s Best for over a year now and it works great! Their flea and tick home spray is great as well!

Works well killing fleas

My dog caught fleas and this shampoo was really effective for ridding her of them. The first couple of uses the live fleas literally jumped off of her in the bath. I combed her through while she had the shampoo in to try to get the eggs too and then rinsed it off which seemed to work well for her. The shampoo smells strongly of the peppermint and smells clean although it is quite a strong smell so it might be overpowering in a small enclosed space. It is a lot better smelling than other flea shampoos we have used. It is expensive for dog shampoo but it does work and it was worth it for us and a big positive is that it is a plant based formula and full of natural ingredients. The only negative I have is that my dog is long haired and for some reason after being bathed in this shampoo it made her slightly statically charged where some times when we stroked her we (me and the dog) would both get a static shock but this didn’t last long and went after a couple of days. Overall I would recommend this as a very effective flea treatment and we will continue to buy and use it.

Excellent product and worked as advertised.

Shampoo my dog and fleas appeared from within in the fur and dropped in water, strong peppermint smell. Dog has not scratched since applied shampoo.

It’s a temporary fix, easy to use. Don’t love the smell but when used with a good flea comb it does the job for long enough between topical treatments. It has given my dog some relief but I’d advise to still check your dog regularly, clean your house top to bottom after fleas have been found and you should be golden.
