Showcasing 700 cubic inch mountain motors slugging down massive doses of nitrous oxide all wedged into 2,450 pound racecars that shriek at each other on every 6-second, 200 mile per hour quarter mile run they make. Pro mods come supercharged, too, with over 500 cubes and only 2,600 lbs. to carry with them. These are bulldog mean and lightening bolt fast racecars that can devour a quarter mile and give a driver a sudden reminder of his mortality in only a handful of seconds. Pro mods are unique to the International Hot Rod Association. The Sunoco Race Fuel Shoot Out brings together this speed hungry battalion of drag racing animals for a series of events which ultimately become smokey, ear-battering exhibitions of strength against strength.
