Hercules Series 9' x 40" Rustic Solid Pine Folding Dining Table, Rectangular Antique Farmhouse Dining and Event Extension Table

This table is an outstanding and beautiful piece of furniture. We are using it outdoors in our backyard kitchen and it makes quite a statement. Since we opted to use benches it can easily sit over 13 people. It's well made and extremely easy to assemble with only a couple of pins to insert intuitively since the legs are folded in--smart design! We value the craftsmanship of this piece. It's very heavy and although a couple people maybe able to carry to its location we opted to open the box where it was dropped. If you are elderly, I would suggest pay extra to have it delivered to the assigned room of your preference.

This is a super nice table for value. It IS sturdy, easy to fold out the legs, and looks great. You won't be disappointed. Ours came in a lot of protective packaging, and was easy to take out of the box. Warning ⚠️: This table is HEAVY. Unless you're a lumberjack, you will need two people, at least, to move this table safely.

I was planning to build a table myself but I came across this and decided that for $5XX I may as well just buy it and save myself the time because I already have an ADHD amount of unfinished projects at home IYKYK. This was ordered on a Monday and was delivered by Wednesday. Packaged very well. Table had zero damage as reported in some other reviews. Easily set up in under a minute. It is very sturdy. My daughter and I stood on top of it to wipe down the moulding around the wall mural so it easily held about 300 pounds of us two together. The table top is kind of genius. It's made to look like 4 bys and 6 bys that are alternated, however, it is a solid slab that they routered to make it look like separate planks. I would definitely recommend using poly or butcher block wax on the top for protection but other than that, this table comes out of the box ready to go. I paired it with bronze farmhouse chairs that were $99 for 4 and two of the 40" benches from the same company (we use those elsewhere in the house until company comes over and we need to pull the table out from the wall and have additional seating.) All in all I would definitely recommend this product for the price and I'm sure it will last for years to come.

So, I was pretty worried about this table as it sat in storage for three months before being opened. When we initially received the delivery, box was okay looking just torn on the sides where straps go around. From what we could tell, table itself looked to be fine. Once our house was finished, this was the first thing we opened up! Amazed the table was 99% damage free. Some tiny marks on the top that actually resembled tables with the “worn” dents added for look. The table is beautiful. Coloring is that of an old rustic country table. The price we paid was excellent and a table of this length would have easily been tripled (that’s the low end) in cost. My husband, for some reason, felt the needed to put butcher block oil on it. The oil absorbed slowly over a few days and has given the table a slightly deeper color, enhancing the little burrs that are throughout. The table opened in a snap and the one flaw we can see (more of an annoyance really) is the table rocks slightly front to back. This is because of the metal table supports underneath. We have tightly wrapped the support pins in black felt and this has helped but still moves a bit. The table does not move at all left to right and is solid. Overall, I cannot believe we snagged this at $5xx. It is so beautiful. The bolts other reviewers mention are visible and we intend on painting them black at some point. It is probably obvious but felt pads are needed as the wood legs will scratch some floors.

First, the delivery company rescheduled delivery with about 14 hours notice. That was irritating, but not the end of the world. Second, the table showed up damaged. So damaged that the guy driving the truck told us that he felt bad even leaving the warehouse with it. The box had a hole in the side through which broken pieces of wood were falling out. He was told he had to deliver it anyway from the warehouse in Cudahy, WI to our house in Madison -- about an hour and a half away. When he showed up, he immediately let us know what happened and advised that we refused to accept delivery and contact the manufacturer. Third, the Amazon website provides the phone number for the manufacturer, and instructs to call them for broken products. So we did. An waited on hold. And waited some more. And more. etc, etc, etc.... When I finally got through to someone, he told me there was nothing he could do for me. I needed to contact Amazon directly to see what they could do about it. I told him that the Amazon website says to contact the manufacture. He said he had no idea what the website said, but that he couldn't help regardless. At least he was nice enough to provide a handful of Amazon phone numbers that I "could try" to see if they would work. So I called Amazon. It was a pain to navigate the phone tree, which directs you to "speak" your problem. I wonder if the people who build those systems ever consider whether the customer is calling from a noisy office or a living room at home with kids in the background. Anyway, once I finally reached a person, she told me that their system indicates that the manufacture doesn't have any more tables left in stock, so she would issue a refund. I was appreciative, but holy hell did it take a long time to get to the end of the process.

We love our farmhouse table and the fact that we can fold it up and easily move if needed or store for winter. We are using it on our patio which receives morning sun and cut an umbrella hole in the center. We coated the table (top, legs, and underneath tabletop) with 5 coats of Varathane Ultimate Spar exterior oil based urethane using a very fine sanding block on the tabletop in between coats. Any water beads up on top of the finish and no problems so far with keeping it outside. We also bought a waterproof table cover for when it rains. Great table that seats up to 12 with two chairs on each end and four on each side. Highly recommend.
