Can I use this unit with my old (about 15 years old) TV? My TV has only rca & coax inputs.

This is what I find at www.swann.com: *View live or playback in high resolution on your HDTV, LCD or plasma TV using HDMI connection or on LCD screen via VGA port--We have the 9 camera system set up to be viewed on a separate TV which is a 27" LG HDTV. It is clear and shows heat mages at night as the cameras are infrared. We also have a swann dome camera on the system that can be moved in a 360 degree circle, called Pan, Tilt and Zoom.We bought a Q-See DVR to replace our broken swann but the Q-See did not have the functionality of the Swann so we sent it back and got another Swann DVR because our camera system is analog not digital. We got the system over three years ago. We have the PTZ camera mounted so we can see all of our roof so we can check when it needs to be cleaned of leaves! Pretty easy to set up, just a little adjustment needed with the sensitivity of the cameras and the record/motion settings. And Swann customer service is good.

Yes, mine got lost And when I found it it was all Chewed up. My dog got a hold of it hide it away. So all I need is the remote control. I'll appreciate if anyone can help me find oneTo work with my DVR. THANK YOU ALL

I have a 4 channel Swann system right now, but the harddrive seems to be dead, will this system work with the cameras i already have?

Our first 9 channel DVR from Swann also stopped working and we bought a new one, same model since we wanted it to work with our 9 channel system. Last week we started seeing Video Loss on 3 of 9 cameras and spoke with rep at Swann. Seems our power pack to the DVR was going bad and system was not getting enough uninterrupted current. They are sending a new power pack. I presume the 9 channel system will work with your 4 cameras if they are Swann cameras; just turn off the other 5 cameras or get some more. Ha ha. Watch that red light to make sure it is either on steady or blinking. Our DVR drive stopped working and we were not aware of it since I did not watch for the steady red or blinking. The drive did not last that long, maybe a year or so. That's the only possible problem we can tell about. And then the power pack going out after 10 months makes me wonder about quality of product but we knew same system would work with our cameras. We also have a PTZ camera from them and it has a clear, clear picture. Costs $300 or so but we can on top of our roof to check for downed limbs. Jane

how long is the warranty of this.. I bought my the end of February and its not working

shall be at least one year. i replaced mine with omni 960

Avoid a headache and wasted time.

Look elsewhere, this unit is junk. First unit wouldn't even power up. Ordered a replacement and it worked great for 2 weeks before the HDMI video out quit working.

I have had two of these units and both crapped ...

I have had two of these units and both crapped out after 2 months. The first I thought it was because of a power outage, but the second one died two months later. I will not purchase anymore DVR units from swann and I haven't had much luck in contacting them.

Hard drive went bad in 10 months

Hard drive went bad in 10 months. Bought it on amazon and contacted Swann for warranty. They informed me that I was third party user since they sold it to Amazon so they wont honor Warranty....Poor customer service from Swann....The look for loopholes not to service their own products...Good luck with them If you have a problem
