I try to get 11,000 steps in a day. Sometimes I get many more than that. I also spend a lot of time on my feet in my woodworking shop. So good-fitting shoes are important, and I’ve tried many that just don’t work. I have wide feet and any shoe that lacks room for my foot to spread enough causes pain. I was impressed that the shoes came with two different insoles. One is thick and has a pronounced arch support, while the other is thinner and has less of an arch. There’s also a set of thin insoles that I assume are meant to give a little extra thickness if desired. The insoles are very nice quality. Overall, I like the look of the shoes and think that besides walking in them I could wear them just about anywhere. These shoes work great but for one problem: The back of the shoe rubs against my Achilles tendon if I walk at anything faster than a saunter. I did my usual 1.5 mile morning route with these and came back with a blister. Otherwise, the shoes were terrific. I’ll update my review if a break-in period fixes the problem.
